The great thing about Christmas lights is that one person's favorite is not necessarily the next. For every person who loves or hates the warm white, another person loves or hates the cool :) We've seen alot of cities use pure white mini lights on their trees and the results are stunning. The warm led color is mellower but still pretty. Champagne white is my personal favorite - it's golden-y. Light emitting diode technology just has a really hard time looking like a glowing filament. :)
@ChristmasLightSource The "warm white" is the closest to a glowing filament though. I'm so glad they are getting closer. This cool white light messes with my eyes so bad. Thanx for this vid.
They look just awful on a tree. I am all about being green but I wish that they could make them look like the beautiful clear gold that we've had for years. I bought some red LEDs for 2 wreathes I put on my balcony last year & they looked just so pretty. The blue however is just so overpowering & hurt the eyes. One problem I find is that the LEDs seem to have a fast pulsating look at times. Oh, I hope they get better.
my fenix tk20 got 150lumen warm led lights... white throw back at you in a blizzard.. warm got more throw, and don`t mess with colors on what you light up...+++ white got a litle more lumens but still lose vs warm tint...
Personally, I think that the warm white looks more natural and "warm" lol. The white, although it looks nice, seems a bit to "electronic."

Thank you so much for posting this. It's good info that isn't easy to find- the direct comparison was very, very helpful!

Its kinda neat if you watch the reflection of the lights in her glasses. Its shows the difference in the color better than the direct shot does.
