Oh alright. Well, Geoeye really is a nice touch to add realism I give you that, but they have to do a better job when using it, because it gets ugly when you zoom in. I expect a little more depth given that it happens in Tom Clancy's world. How about more Ghost Recon integration?
no I agree. they could have done a better job with texture when you zoom in, but that's about the only time the game looks bad. overall the graphics are good. they actually are working on HAWX 2, on a video a guy posted a comment saying his dad was a project manager for this game in Romania. I asked him, he said that UBISOFT Romania may not be working on it but HAWX 2 is definitely a WIP. I hope they add more depth.

The usual console player dont like to bother with learning how to play, they just want to hack and slash. So selling will go better with an arcade rather than a sim.

I play consoles but love simulators. For me a big part of it is I dont have the money to buy all those drivers and stuff people talk about or the foggiest about how to use them or anything lol. With consoles you just plug in and turn on and pay usually once. I wish I knew more or had the cash. I think it puts people off a little bit which is a shame as there are great simulators out there.

On a motherboard for example. You have slots. One for a graphics card, a few for RAM and one for a CPU.
In this case, you can never get mixed up when building a PC, becuase everything is differenet from one another. Even the RAM. You can't put the RAM in the wrong way around becuase its impossible, it won't allow you to becuase each side is different.
Building a PC is like cubes. They all fit perfectly. Nothing can bend or break. = Perfect fit.

Personaly I dont have any troubles with a bit of fiction in Ace Combat world, especialy since its mainly based on real one, and its quite beliveable. As far as realism goes I would be more concerned with how ridiciulous Hawx flight model is. This is a simplified action game ok, but it loses even to AC 3 on PSX, somewhere closer to AC 2 which is more than 10 years old. It feels a lot like a cheap copy from that time. About gfx, Hawx models lack details, I would call it rather poor.

I have Hawx for PS3, and no, the AC3 PSX visuals do not beat Hawx PS3 visuals. but again, you wouldn't know that, because neither you own a ps3 nor you have played Hawx full version. most likely, the HAWX demo didn't run well on your low end PC, so yeah, compared to the gfx on your PC, AC 3 on PSX probably is better.
Please put more attention to reading, I never mentioned that AC3 has better gfx than Hawx. I wrote that AC3 has better flight model than Hawx, and as far as gfx goes I compared it to PC standards. Amongs few consoles I do own there is no PS3 right, I have to borrow it from a friend, but thats irrevelant since my PC actualy can run Hawx on max.
as for the realism, this game is arcade, and by realism I mean authentic presentation of licensed jets satellite data, NOT the game play. Ace Combat doesn't abide by the law of physics either. play MS flight sim or join the air force for that purpose.
Yes its arcade, and I already said that in my first post in this topic. However some basic physics are required for game to give player good feel of flying, and make dogfights more exciting. In this matter Hawx is far behind standards of AC and others of this genre like Air Strike Delta. Simplest maneuvers are pain in the ass, not to mention cosmic details like supercruise of all jets or already mentioned impossibillity to stall some of them.

Then you must really suck at playing games, because HAWX maneuvers are easy to pull off. It is one of the easiest games I have ever played. Most people who like to have fun while playing games do not give a shit about whether the physics is real or not. I have played every single Ace Combat game that has ever come out, and I can easily say that HAWX, if not better, is equally as much fun to play as AC 6.
Actualy I kinda live off playing games, mainly FPPs but I think I do decent at other ones too. Anyway please notice that I havent said that I have problems with level of difficulty or pulling off things that are possible. However controling turn radius with speed is a bit useless and even doing YoYos has little sense. In spite of that I never said that Hawx is not fun, nor that people cant have fun playing it. systems should be compared between a flight and a simulated flight. Video game AI tries to trick you into thinking that what's happening is in real time. The orientation of vector, or misdirection, is compensated but further vector orientation, not by changing the dynamics. A real simulator doesn't compensate for such things if not programmed. a flight is controlled by logic or sequential controls, and feedback or linear controls, or fuzzy logic for physical dynamics
The difference between both systems will still be there. You can implement effect of some forces like that, but root of problem lies in in such basics like developers decision to make some impossible to stall planes. Im still trying to solve the riddle how speed could not affect turning radius. Since I dont think its possible to program it that way, and I based it on ingame situation, it could be just a matter of planes parameters. I would exactly measure it, but I already did thew game away.

Damn, this game looks good, since it's out for the 360, hopefully eventually they'll port it to PC. The game looks fun, the voice acting is good, but I kinda wish they would do one more anime styled story like Ace Combat 3, that's the best out of all the AC games. And the ground building textures are still kinda bad, they just use HDR to cover it up.

This is one of the 1st user made videos of AC6 Demo. And my intention to make this video was not a skill showcase. I intended to show how AC6 looks like.
Low flying and looking around to show details of terrains. I used more guns than missiles to show close look of explosion effects. Low flyby over bomb exposions at 2:40 as well.
At 5:13, I tracked a B-52 going down. Even with low image quality of YouTube, you can see that this B-52 is on fire, but 3D model of B-52 itself seems undamaged.
This genre of game really got me excited until i saw this vidio, it looks abit boring tbh, surely that cannot be the top speed of the planeduring gameplay? can you change the camera angle so you can see the back of the plane???

On a motherboard for example. You have slots. One for a graphics card, a few for RAM and one for a CPU.
In this case, you can never get mixed up when building a PC, becuase everything is differenet from one another. Even the RAM. You can't put the RAM in the wrong way around becuase its impossible, it won't allow you to becuase each side is different.
Building a PC is like cubes. They all fit perfectly. Nothing can bend or break. = Perfect fit.

People talk of i7 CPU's and all these exepensive shit that they never need.
For example, a simple Quad Core Q6600 and 4GB's of RAM. And a 9800GT would play better then any console on the market. And these parts came out in 2006-2007.
It's all about ebay baby. You can build a bugdet high end PC "today" for cheaper then a console.
I see where your coming from, but to be honest, it is kinda your fault for going to wall-mart and picking up an office PC which WILL need upgrades every year. :D

Wal-Mart/Asda here dont really do much in the way of computers and its extremely poor what they do. PC World is a rip off , always after money and yea, they have old stuff but most people buy it thinking its just plug in and go. There isnt a huge mainstream choice in reality here which is annoying.

I mean knowing about a PC is like knowing about anything,if your in the know,u know best brands,best price/how to install,like a mechanic knows the best parts/price and how to,a surgeon knows his job.i mean i admit i never looked in hard but again its the worry of breaking my pc. Sounds like ebay would be the good choice and part of this is my own unawareness but I just think on the whole, with regards to being user friendly, pc modifications are difficult and costly (or at least sound it).

Yes you are right, it was a big simplification on my side to call it flight dynamics model. Still we can argue about differences of movement in both these arcade games. I think its more a matter of naming in this case, but certainly you have a point.

However, such flight model is not used in these video games, neither HAWX, or AC series. These systems are found in flight simulators, not these video games. In the game, AI programming sets constraints on the movement and transformation of graphics, and any changes in coordinates is not because of a set flight model, but rather, the logical location.

Hawx is more realistic in terms of the overall feel. it has real life locations, unlike Ace's fake countries. gameplay is basically the same and slightly more fun to play than Ace. you have to play it to know about it.

yes and by that innovation I mean fictional planes and fictional maps that you happen to love. Yes, Hawx is based on Ace Combat game play. But it adds realism by adding more real, licensed planes and real world maps using Geo-eye. that is differentiation. It ads ERS to make things a little different and interesting. it features better graphics. the product are of the same category, but they are different enough that without trying the full game, your attempt to trash one game is stupidity.

Personaly I dont have any troubles with a bit of fiction in Ace Combat world, especialy since its mainly based on real one, and its quite beliveable. As far as realism goes I would be more concerned with how ridiciulous Hawx flight model is. This is a simplified action game ok, but it loses even to AC 3 on PSX, somewhere closer to AC 2 which is more than 10 years old. It feels a lot like a cheap copy from that time. About gfx, Hawx models lack details, I would call it rather poor.

I have Hawx for PS3, and no, the AC3 PSX visuals do not beat Hawx PS3 visuals. but again, you wouldn't know that, because neither you own a ps3 nor you have played Hawx full version. most likely, the HAWX demo didn't run well on your low end PC, so yeah, compared to the gfx on your PC, AC 3 on PSX probably is better.

as for the realism, this game is arcade, and by realism I mean authentic presentation of licensed jets satellite data, NOT the game play. Ace Combat doesn't abide by the law of physics either. play MS flight sim or join the air force for that purpose.

Yes its arcade, and I already said that in my first post in this topic. However some basic physics are required for game to give player good feel of flying, and make dogfights more exciting. In this matter Hawx is far behind standards of AC and others of this genre like Air Strike Delta. Simplest maneuvers are pain in the ass, not to mention cosmic details like supercruise of all jets or already mentioned impossibillity to stall some of them.

Being arcade game doesnt mean that it wont be better (or worse) if it simulate certain effects. It can make a big difference and for reference you can use driving games. Take for extreme example Ridge Racer and Gran Turismo series as both can be called arcade games.

Then you must really suck at playing games, because HAWX maneuvers are easy to pull off. It is one of the easiest games I have ever played. Most people who like to have fun while playing games do not give a shit about whether the physics is real or not. I have played every single Ace Combat game that has ever come out, and I can easily say that HAWX, if not better, is equally as much fun to play as AC 6.

Actualy I kinda live off playing games, mainly FPPs but I think I do decent at other ones too. Anyway please notice that I havent said that I have problems with level of difficulty or pulling off things that are possible. However controling turn radius with speed is a bit useless and even doing YoYos has little sense. In spite of that I never said that Hawx is not fun, nor that people cant have fun playing it. Im just against calling it better with all the shorts it has.

Initial trashing? Matter of standards, especialy since personaly I was waiting for that game due to multiplayer in PC version, and so I had my own expectations. However for me its flight model isnt enough for competitive use. Fun factor is whole different story, and it also depends on how you define it. I keep up what I said, even usage of word ridiciulous, but I never said people wont have fun with it.
Also I havent compared graphics with AC3, but with standards to which Im used on PC.

systems should be compared between a flight and a simulated flight. Video game AI tries to trick you into thinking that what's happening is in real time. The orientation of vector, or misdirection, is compensated but further vector orientation, not by changing the dynamics. A real simulator doesn't compensate for such things if not programmed. a flight is controlled by logic or sequential controls, and feedback or linear controls, or fuzzy logic for physical dynamics

The difference between both systems will still be there. You can implement effect of some forces like that, but root of problem lies in in such basics like developers decision to make some impossible to stall planes. Im still trying to solve the riddle how speed could not affect turning radius. Since I dont think its possible to program it that way, and I based it on ingame situation, it could be just a matter of planes parameters. I would exactly measure it, but I already did thew game away.

Damn, this game looks good, since it's out for the 360, hopefully eventually they'll port it to PC. The game looks fun, the voice acting is good, but I kinda wish they would do one more anime styled story like Ace Combat 3, that's the best out of all the AC games. And the ground building textures are still kinda bad, they just use HDR to cover it up.

This is one of the 1st user made videos of AC6 Demo. And my intention to make this video was not a skill showcase. I intended to show how AC6 looks like.
Low flying and looking around to show details of terrains. I used more guns than missiles to show close look of explosion effects. Low flyby over bomb exposions at 2:40 as well.
At 5:13, I tracked a B-52 going down. Even with low image quality of YouTube, you can see that this B-52 is on fire, but 3D model of B-52 itself seems undamaged.

well theres a whole bunch of planes to be unlocked in the campaign. there is also online play. or maybe its just not ur type of game?

For everyone who is wondering about what country this takes place in, look at the text at the top of the screen. They are not saying Ammeria, or America. They are saying GRACEMERIA. Don't believe me, look at the captions at the top of the screen.
