I just bought one of these for $65. I have no idea what wood the body is and even if its Korean I'm hoping it has decent wood and pick ups. I am familiar with the Japanese Vantage . I appreciate the demo with the clean tone. I find distortion pretty meaningless except to show whether it feeds back. nothing substitutes for good sounding with a variety of clean tones..
I plugged guitar directly into the mixing board for the clean sound but you can get exact same one on Clean and EQ set on 5 (middle) on a cube 20x. I didn't say "Marshall" but "Metal Stack", all EQ on 5 and delay on 6. Guitar was on max volume.

Sounds great! I just got one of those. What strings do you have on there?

Sounds like it could be spruce. Seems a lot of the softer woods like pine, spruce and cedar have a sort of warm, starey tone to the high notes.
Could just be the neck material, though.

Really like your tone and style of playing too. I have the same
Cube 20X amp. Which model do you call the "Marshall" one?
Where was the volume set on the guitar, and how did you set the amps controls for both the clean as well as the distorted section?
