Did you forget his steals in Games 1 and 3 against the Nuggets in the Playoffs to seal those games? As far as Ariza vs. Artest- Ariza is young and has the best years still ahead of him- Artest is 6 years older, has had trouble everywhere he's been, and is not as quick or defensively tough as he once was. I'll take Ariza's over Artest's for the Lakers any day of the week.

Ariza wasnt drafted by the Lakers, he had many stops in diffrent teams but no team saw anything in him, hell no one even knew his name! hes good now because he is well coached. Ariza Is a very good defender and the one thing he has is YOUTH AND SPEED. Artest has expereince, strength. Artest skills will come into play more than arizas will. Good Move Lakers!

I agree with you. This guy is a human highlight film. No one knew him when he was with the Knicks. But playing along side Kobe, makes this guy even more explosive. One of my favorite players to watch.
