@vicmicver818 Did you ever meet that rapper inmate when you were there. And no offense, just curious, were you an employee or an inmate yourself? Thanks
I wish HBO could go back now Lewisburg is a Super Max now. I live less then 5 miles away from there have friends that work there and the stories they tell are crazy even though every inmate is on lock down for 23 hours a day 365 days a year
Wow..thats intense. And for sure..it seems almost funny at first, i've seen rappers and poets on other prison doc's that are trully funny, but this guy is deep and really captures the essence of doing time in Lewisburg. I was born in Lewisburg and throughout my life have always been fascinated by all the stories I've heard and read about Lewisburg. Most notably the one in which the brother of two famous Alcatraz escapees was locked up there and murdered by guards shortly before his release.
@ElmerDurrer Next time I hook up my all in wonder video card, and hook up the old vcr, I will check and see. I think I only have a partial part of this show tho. This was one of my favorite moments. That guy's rap really had a lot of heart and soul for sure.
If I remember correctly, the guy at the end who the guard is escorting out - he had some bad injury from a prison confrontation, a missing eyeball I believe.
@treetoptop this is from a HBO doc called `the big house`..i think it come out around 92-93. best part when herbie sperling was mopping floors talkn about how nicky barnes was a rat for getn his son locked up....

It's on DVD now. Called Doin' Time. Very eye opening about some little known ways of life inside.
