If you want more power to your punches, work on developing a muscle memory punching pattern and add technique as well as moving your body weight into each strike. You don't need to have massive muscles to have knock out power.
i dont think theres anything worse than some guy recording himself working out saying things like "LOOK AT THAT SHIT" while pointing at his own body, well done for making the most fail video in the history of the fucking world.
you have horrible form. do the workout slower and youll get more out of it. Youre using momentum which acutally cuts down on the effort you have to use, which is the point of a workout. Effort i mean
Not really, especially if you're going for functional strength. If you slow it down it becomes more of a compound movement and builds muscle, and doesn't develope agility or burn calories for weight loss (his goal)
Im sorry but you have no idea what youre talking about. Im speaking of form, which his is horrible, slowing the workout down and learning proper form before you spead it up with increase accuracy increasing results. And secondly going slower is more time under tension which recruits more motor units, bringing greater functional strength.
Actually, I am sorry, but you ChrisDirham have no idea what you are talking about. You pretend as if you know something, but you've overheard someone speaking wrong and you are repeating their bullshit. There are two forms of muscle fibers, Fast and Slow Twitch. If you go slow, you work the slow twitch, if you go fast, like he is doing, you work the fast twitch, which focuses on explosive power. Learn what you are talking about before you make a fool of yourself.
@ChrisDirham slower does burn more but if your consistant with your slow motion movements you eventually become slow yourself. But yes you must FIRST ALWAYS learn technique before you can perform faster (only if your trying to get stronger) If your trying to get faster, use light weights, but with proper technique, practice at a faster pace.
and if you dont have a sledgehammer but you do have a straight short curt bar the you could put a weight on one end so you could have more or less weight
You're great; the exercises look interesting and challenging. However, from the looks of things, you look like you are liable to hurt yourself or damage the room.
Look at this shit....

His aim is to lose weight, and it seems to be working for him, so how can it be wrong?
If he continues what he is doing he will build functional strength for that activity, thus enabling to speed up should he wish and burn more calories.

i never said it was wrong, i said there was a path to better efficiency. thats it and thats all.

I have a 18 ibs sledge hammer at home...hm!!!

Somehow, despite the effectiveness of this training, I would advice against moving heavy weights inside the house like that.
Go outside, or to a place that's not so fragile.
