When I was in San Francisco a few years ago I went to a pier that was right next to the golden gate bridge. There were people fishing there and a man was having his 10 year old son sit on this 5gal bucket (which had bait in it) and this Pelican was walking all around him pecking at the bucket and at the kids legs. You could hear the kid YELP! every once in a while and the father was cussing at the bird LOL
