  • Vahchef,

Though i love your recipes but i wonder why most people from India and Pk make their pickle like this, we make it completely different 1. cut up sour mangoes and leave it for 3 days in an air tight covered container with salt shaking it frequently, 2. removing them and sun drying them with carrots and split fresh chillies for 1-2 days .3 making the wagar (again in a very different way). 4. finally mixing all the dry ingredients to the wagar, this lasts for 12 months.

  • @Nilo375 cool it dude... do some research before you make yourself look like an ass.. Avakai is a kind of spicy pickle made with green mangoes and is especially popular in southern India... And I can tell you it does taste great.. NOT terrible.

Btw, people have been eating those raw mangoes for centuries, and there are so many kinds of mangoes, some of which are grown to be consumed like this, not ripe.

  • This guy does not know the difference between avocado and mango!!! AVAKAI is avocado not mango!!!

Boy this must taste really terrible !! Making something with frut not ripe and sour is no good for your intestines, may be good for elephants!!!

  • @Nilo375 LOLOLOLOL.. avakai is avocado.... it cracked me up dude...... thanks for making me laugh... LOL..
