O_O did the block seriously just lay by the "water side"? In the German Version I had to haul it across most of the meadow and pretty much guess that it might have to go into the water...
@Zyadon That's why I'd like to play the PAL version of the game, it sounds like they added a lot of stuff and changed certain things like this puzzle to make the game more challenging. I hear the PS3 release of SotC and Ico is going to have the PAL versions, so I'm pretty excited about that.
@xNunoMDLx Climb the tall block next to the rotating wheel and then jump onto the spinning platforms. It's kinda hard to do, but it worked for me. After getting on it, jump towards the grey bar and climb up that way, NTSC had it easy.
@xNunoMDLx Only in the PAL (European) and Japanese (I think)) versions, but the American rerelease for the PS3 is going to contain all of the changes and extra features the PAL and the Japanese versions had.
I succeeded at my first attempt. Just stand at the upper platform, say to the left of the basket, near the wall - i. e. as far from the basket as possible. Face the basket, make a movement towards it while throwing the stone fruit.
1.)The ladder outside to that wheel is broken, instead you have to jump on an added waterwheel to get up to it
2.)This actually concerns the previous video, but the pipes you hang on are broken and instead you have to activate the mechanism in the corner of the room, making a platform bounce and then jump from it at the right time to get out
There's a similar easter egg in System Shock 2. At the verrrrrry start of the game is a basketball. If you grab it and take it all the way to deck 5, and then make a basket in the gym, you get a secret voice log from a monkey attempting to bribe you with bananas to help him take over the world. That's not quite as awesome as an uber death mace though.
King Quady the Basketball Viking acquires the Serious-Butt-Kicking Mace from the Ico Diety. Now he can defend Yorda from two-ton Twinkies and Zombie Pizza Guy.
YOU'RE scared Quady? Imagine how Yorda REALLY feels. 'WHy am I in this cage?' 'Why is the weird boy with horns kidnappping me?' 'Why are shadow monsters trying to kidnap me too?' 'Where'd that mace come from?!'

The PAL version of ICO is diferent of this one, the ladder that you climbed to stop the water flow is broken. I don´t know how to get up there :(
