God those were the days. NWA 1985-1988 on TBS and also World Wide Wrestling.I can't think of another business that doesn't listen to its customer base in any way shape or form. Vince would be incredibly smart to re-establish the old territory system. Who cares if he owns it all. He could keep his name out of it even..just rake in the money. Vince is brilliant in many ways but his failure to relinquish any sort of control to others is his downfall. I quit watching wrestling in the mid 1990's.
Back when wrestling was actually real and worth watching, not like today in the WWE where Vince McMann gives out titles to wrestlers like the flavor of the week. Vince is making big money off of when wrestling was worth watching not this low budget late night movie type scripts in the WWE!
To find great NWA/WCW and Memphis wrestling go to Ioffer. com. I got a compete set of NWA 85. Starting with the break of Ole & Thunderbolt Patterson. Plus they have all the old commercials that came on wtbs and plus some old braves games
I used to hate it, when they used to cut the short an hour short for Braves games, and sometimes for the Hawks too. Remember they had a Sunday show too.
"WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING!!!!!! Bringing you great wrestling action sanctioned by the NWA, the National Wrestling Alliance." I lived for this shit from April 1985 until November 1988. I love the days of wrestling with Tony Schiavone and David Crockett from the studios of 1050 Techwood Drive.

Yeah, they did have great chemistry together. When Jim Ross came, he and Tony didn't have chemistry like him and David. But if you remember "WCW All Night" in 1995, David made a guest appearance and he and Tony spoke of the good moments they had on the set and program.
I didnt know that David came back in 1995 for WCW All Night. Did you see the Essential Starrcade DVD when David and Ric Flair introduced some of the matches together?
