God those were the days. NWA 1985-1988 on TBS and also World Wide Wrestling.I can't think of another business that doesn't listen to its customer base in any way shape or form. Vince would be incredibly smart to re-establish the old territory system. Who cares if he owns it all. He could keep his name out of it even..just rake in the money. Vince is brilliant in many ways but his failure to relinquish any sort of control to others is his downfall. I quit watching wrestling in the mid 1990's.

Growing up in the late 80's, WCW was Saturdays and WWF had Sundays on USA (plus Superstars of Wrestling was on Friday nights where I lived). Weekends full of wrestling. I miss those days.

This one guy offers seasons 85,86,87,88,89, and the 90's. Yes they had starrcades 86 and 87 those are the skywalkers match with the greatest tagteam of all time the midnight express vs the road warriors that would be 86 and 87 would be the midnight express vs the rock & roll express. The one I have now season 85 with the original commercials from back in the day you know one let's go to college scoreboard or the ones that had the bad singers trying to sell songs you never heard

Go to Ioffer.com and they have all of the classic wrestling videos. I got the 85 season of the NWA/WCW. Plus most of the pay per views like starrcade 83-88, gab 86-88, bunkhouse stampede. Plus they have the greatest wrestling show ever Memphis wrestling but watch out some on there. They will try get over. I have wwe on demand it's not same with the logo in the way

I so agree with you. Wrestling in the 80s and 90s were super when you had the different story themes and there was so much talent and variety. This was a defining moment in my childhood. We watched the program on WCPO-TV Channel 9 out of Cincinnati, OH. It came on at 11 am. Then, at noon, we would turn in on WAVE-TV Channel 3 out of Louisville, KY to watch Jerry Lawler's Memphis wrestling. Those were wonderful times to be a wrestling fan. I don't watch it anymore. I find it embarrassing.

They were! A lot of people criticize them but they were above average. Tony carried them, but David got a little over the top, so he became humorous!

I believe that Tony did his best work when he was with David in the NWA. Once he left NWA he was never the same. Even though David was over the top, they still had good chemistry together. He never had good chemistry with anyone else after David in my opinion.

Yeah, they did have great chemistry together. When Jim Ross came, he and Tony didn't have chemistry like him and David. But if you remember "WCW All Night" in 1995, David made a guest appearance and he and Tony spoke of the good moments they had on the set and program.
