  • Dear mukhtar bhai salaam walekum,THANKU FOR A BEAUTIFUL SONG ,GOD BLESS U AAPNE TO HAME MADHOSH KAR DIYA BHAI K ARVIND

  • Remind meghdoot by Kalidasa?

  • Mukhtar saheb. this geet is one of my most favourite and i often listen from my collection. admirable is he sings this song in different mode and pitch.

    thank you

  • @saz9297 oho i forgot to watch beautiful vdo attachment that fits exactly to this geet. in fact i became engrossed. anyhow i enjoyed well watching this enchanting vdo and listening this geet again.

you deserve to be highly appreciated. marvelous indeed

    thank you mukhtar saheb

  • I first heard his songs in Vivdh Bharti in1967 at 10-11 AM programs, when his songs were a regular feature.

  • I am very very thankful for this song. Is this what Kalidas tells the first rainy clouds in"Meghdoot'

  • You suggested to listen his song, but when I heard his voice and I was thinking it is like Jagonmoy Mitra, but I did not know that in Hindi his name is Jagmohon. He is my very favorite singer in Bengali, specially his songs called Chiti, 15. Ami Duranta Baishakhi Jhar and others. Did you read his interview with Quereshi?

  • @bazlur

Yes, his original name is Jagonmoy Mitra. In Hindi songs, he is called Jagmohan or sursagar. I feel, he is more renown in Bengal.

  • Thank you so much Mukhtar ji,this is another song that I wanted to upload in Facebook but I forgot my own name there:)

This clip, like all your masterpieces, is a stunning visual poem,so illustrative that this timeless song will be understood and appreciated by people all over the world.I need to see all of your super editions and improvements of the originals.

This is not flattery ,what could I win with it?Just an opinion(of a fan:)

  • @madhubala2009

    Dear Kiri san

Thanks for your very inspiring and generous comments, appreciating my efforts to create a video on this marvelous and eternal song. Such nice comments provide me the strength to compile videos with confidence.

    Mukhtar

  • @myvision22 Sheikh Sahib I am entirely thankful to u for sharing this marvalous composition of Kamal Das Gupta. I have listned it thousand times. I classify Gupta parallel to Mozrat and Beathoven and regret to note that sub-continent composition is not in written form otherwise such type of compostion will continue to be performed by orchestra groups throughout centuries. In persuit of love of his wife Feroza Begum Gupta migrated to East Pakistan He became anonymous after 1947 - continued

  • Genius did not receive due credit and honour in Pakistan from government and music circles as he deserved. However his work of forties is sufficient for his greatness. Now a word about lyricst of song. He is great Fayyaz Hashimi who penned masterpiece gems in India and Pakistan. I also refer to u one similar composition of Billo C Rani and rendered by CH Atma both from Sindh - Panghat pe more sham bajaye murlia for film Bilwa Mangal, please must listen it. Regards

Dear Balouch Sahib, Thanks for writing knowledgeable comments on our favourite song. I am proud of my creation on this great song. Actually, when I was middle school student, I would listen radio Ceylon for hours in search of two songs

    1. O varsha ke pehle badal.. from geets and 2. Kaise koi jiye .from old song. In the course of waiting for these songs, I would listen and started liking many other songs too.

Please email the song at mukhtarasheikh@hotmail.com

    Thanks

    Mukhtar

  • @rajivsood25

Thank you for the nice comments

  • Dear Mukhtar Bhai,

This is a GEM which I am thankful to you for uploading and letting me know. I heard this song after decades. I love voice of Jagmohan Sursingar Ji that is what he was called. You description and video assembly is simply marvellous. I always LOVE to sing Jagmaohan's song "Dil Ko Hai Tumse Pyaar Hai Kyon". Someday, I will upload my version.

    Regards,

    Dr. Kamath

  • It is a great presentation and to my liking. Thanks for sharing.

  • Nice : old is gold.

  • Nice : old is gold.

  • This is one of the most exraordinary presentations I have come across. Touching lyrics are sequenced with equally touching and befitting background scenes, particularly the lightening storm and swiftly moving restless clouds, depicting the heart in extreme turmoil. Thank you Mukhtar ji for sharing it with me, I enjoyed watching it. Take care.

  • @passion689

  • Dear Sir,

Thanks for this excellent combination of visuals commensurate with

the moods of the song by Jagmohan 'Sur Sagar'.

The theme is similar to that of Kalidasa's Epic Poem 'Meghadootam'

wherein the a 'yaksha', the demi-gods in indian mythology sends the cloud as his messenger

to convey his thoughts to his beloved wife far away.

    with regards

  • Capt Kundaliya comments; Excellent performance !! Keep it up. From deep past to present.

  • Great work Mukhtar bhai, Beautifully done.

  • Mukhtar bhai,

This song is a classic film interpretation of the great Indian poet Kalidas (4 th century) written great epic called Meghdoot. Kalidas was the first poet in the subcontinent to conceive of the idea of a cloud carrying a message.

    Great song. Bahot shukriya.

  • Muktar Bhai

Jiyo hazar saal, yeh mera aaseerwad (blessings) ka sandes hai.

As detailed by Tenioberoi , Kavi Kalidas has written a great Kavyam called MEGHADUTHAM in Sanskrit, also known as MEGHASANDESAM.

Kamal Das Guptha was a great composer.

    Thanks and blessings

    Uma Maheswar Nakka

  • The classic "Meghdootam" is recreated in Jagmohan's immortal voice by kamaldas gupta and very tenderly presented through excellent video compiliation by Mukhtarji.

I think a video creator of this calibre shud be a good film director, very appropriate selection of video montage capturing the mood of the song. Hearty congratulations Mukhtarji.

  • It is very engrossing putting any one in the state similar to meditations leading towards tranquility and divinity together. It may be able to attract back the hi-tech generation towards the rich ethnic tradition.

Thanks to Mukhtar Sahab for uploading this video and my Heartiest Congratulation on your beautiful Channel. Best regards, Suhanee!!

  • watching the visual clipping with musical input is a real treat to soul and very soothing to mind. It is very imaginative, innovative and excellent with reference to expressing the moods matching to the wordings, tunes and musics and of course the various shades of two original colors black and white.

  • Jagmohan ne kabhi khwab bhi na dekha ho ga geet wo aaj ga raha hai 70 saal guzarne k baad Lyallpur ka aik funkar os geet ko itnay khoobsurat andaz mein pesh kare ga . Yeh peshkush irti umda hai aur iss mein itni znazaktein hein jin ki wazahat k liye aik mazmoon darkar hai, Iss pumbhal poosay main ulajhne ki bajaye behter hai k I may watch it once more .

i am very grateful to you for sharing this with me .

  • It took me back to my childhood when I used to listen to my father mildly singing the numbers of Sehegal sahab, C.H.Atma Sahab & Pankaj mallick sahab. This is the song of that era which has made me nostalgic. Great song & great rendition.

  • unbelievable... so melodious... very good ... thanks to D.K.Sharma ji who sent it me for listening... this is really a gem...

  • Dear Mr Mukhtar

You have done a great service to the music lovers by uploading this old gem.

Your labour to create this beautiful video is hundred percent success.

It is fantastic. You have transformed this 70 years old song into a 21st century classic. Please throw some light on Kamal Das Gupta also.

The information about Jagmohan provided by you proves your passion for the Music and the old legendary singers.

    Keep it up.

This goes to my favourite list.

  • @kuckudk

Thanks a lot for encouraging comments. I will put more information on Kamal Dasgupta on my other creation "Aye Chand Shup na jana".

    Mukhtar

  • @myvision22

Wow not only for song and melodious singing of Jagmohan ji but for beautiful videography with Poonam and Sushmita Sen.Thumbs Up.

I rally like this awesome singer's 1. Dil ko Tumse Pyar kayon ? and 2.Muje na sapno se bahelao. In 60 's his songs were often heard on Radio.

Thanks myvision22 ji and Sharma ji for sharing. W.R. Sarla.

  • @myvision22

Thanks Sharma ji for sharing this awesome song. With respect. Sarla.

  • @myvision22 .Kamal Dasgupta was a noted composer and a lyricist and singer too. He was married to the Bengali singer Firoza Begum. He gave many tunes to Jagmohan, Juthika Roy, and Kanan Devi.

  • @kuckudk . Thanks, Sharmaji, for the forward.

In the 1940s, KLS, Jagmohan, and Pankaj Mullick were the male troika that reigned supreme on the radio. I am a pushover for Jagmohan. His soothing voice can easily be used as a pain-relieving drug.

This song is clearly an adaptation of Meghduta( " Cloud Messenger"), the great Sanskrit poem of Kalidasa, the Shakespeare of ancient Gupta Dynasty. The presentation by myvision22 is a fitting visual rhapsody and a labor of love. Wonderful!

  • @chamogaa

Thank you for comments on my video. It is your comments which inspired me to change title of my video from "A Journey of clouds" to "A message through clouds.

    Mukhtar

  • @chamogaa

  • @crazyoldsongs
