U can take the wheel off and the freewheel off th wheel. Take the tire off and flip it around onto the wheel. Then you can mount a freewheel tht will fit th chain size. Are u gonna use th regular brakes???
you think it fits nicely until you go to switch gears... i see a future problem there in confert. And you might want some kind of pedal under the shifter. but it look beautiful! :D
mines the the exacted think as his same motor ans frame i have to take the motor off and cut into the frame to make the cob orator idle right.. then i have to find a rear wheel.. and remount breaks the stock breaks wont work you have to move then up to that next rack up then weld the on its hard at shit to you have to get the n just right
With a 125 cc engine with transmission and gearing contained your creation wil most likely hit 70+ miles an hour in good wind conditions. This is another reason why good brakes and wheels are needed. Sent you an email about this to your web site.
With 125cc engine this will place the bike in a motorcycle category and it will need to be registered and licensed as a motorcycle. Make a serial number plate and stamp in a serial number. Most states restrict the size of the engine in a motor assisted bicycle to 50cc or less and the capable speed at 25 MPH maximum. What you are building is a motorcycle from a bicycle.
See if you could run a mount system that starts an the top of the seat tube you've sawn off (utilizing the engine as part of the frame in essence) and curving around to mate with the other mounting points.
i wanna see you put the muffler in next! lol, gonna be hard because either you gotta go thru the frame or make a sharp bend which will decrease horse power...looks fun though!
Good start! On the rear mounts, I made the frame brace and engine mount as one piece. You definitely do need to brace it though, we built two of them, one with no bracing and one with it. The one with no brace broke behind the seat tube, the other one still bent. It needs some bracing under the seat on the top of the frame. The extra weight will push the backbone of the frame back into the top part of the "swingarm". I stronger 20" BMX front wheel held up just fine on ours.
for the carb, just machine a tube that will make the carb off set to the frame and atach at an angle so it would be out from the frame
