  • i could not get off of work that night.

  • Could get off work to see this show. How disheartening for a Native of Houston.

  • This concert was fantastic , I was 13 and there...

  • i would have loved to see them headline glastonbury

  • Just a spectacular band. Too bad the USA never appreciated Queen like the rest of the world did. If you're in the USA and love Queen, please LIKE my new fan page Queen in the USA,

  • listen to that voice!! no vocal backing tape, no pitch fixer, no auto tune, no ear plug monitor, just live raw talent

  • Thank you so much for sharing this. I saw Queen at The Gardens in Toronto back in '77 and this just brings back such sweet memories. I still remember when he came out in a shiny silver stocking for the encore. I miss 'my' Freddie and Queen. There will never be another vocalist like Freddie or band equal to Queen. They are in their own genre.

  • @freddieandme You are so right, I saw Queen in Stockholm april 1978 and the show was just amazing. The best i ever have seen.

  • I miss songs like it's late and spread your wings.......

  • @ludwigpearl you should check out Queen's Maida Vale Studio recordings for both It's Late & Spread Your Wings. Awesome Freddie vocals, as usual.

  • Wow where did this gem of a classic show come from? Is this 1978? When did News of the World come out, as they reference in the show? Why doesn't this type of stuff get officially released vs. later stuff when they became less edgy and more Vegas - ey ? Aband at the peak of their power and says alot!

  • Went to this one In md.oct 77 .Wasn't a big queen fan when I went.Was a fan when I left.

  • An Evening With Queen, 1974-1976 2DVD set, Queen Live at Earl's Court 1977 DVD available at Tommygunvideo- click on channel for link and details

  • @ClassicRockDVD the best era

  • omg i love when Freddie wears those tight outfits!!!!!!! *pant pant pant*

  • Does anyone know what tour this is from?

  • @whatbanebreaks it was early on the news of the world tour

and believe it or not it was the second north american tour queen did in 77

from jan to march 77 they toured to support a day at the races

and than oct to dec 77 again with news of the world

back in the day a band would record tour write new material for follow up than do all over again they worked their asses off unlike most of the pampered newbies of today

  • Hot!Hot!HoT! Bad Ass opening. Why oh why did my way too uptight parochial mother and WW2 Marine Corp. Dad !Not even entertain the question that I go to see Queen at 12 years old.Hell I've got two of my own now both in there 20's and I would have let them go I just would drop them off at the Spectrum and pick them up problem solved. This will in my mind go down as Queen's greatest tour!Although the 75Hammy show Rocks as does Kampuchea, the Rainbow and various Live Killer shows. When did I final 80

  • Are they in the Astrodome.

  • sam houston colosseum

  • que bien que salió el solo d brighton rock!!!

houston en 77 tuvo el mayor de sus cohetes, que hizo ignición con we will rock you!!!!!!!!

  • I wish they could come to Houston! but with all these rappers and crap no one would go and if they did i probable be the only one there =)

  • there would be a crapload of people, they would need Reliant.

  • im more than certain if freddie hadnt died back in 91 queen would stand on this very day as the biggest rock band ever bigger than the beatles zep stones combined and they would sell out the astrodome dodger stadium every stadium everywhere at least 4 night stands in ever city

yes they would be even bigger than u2

  • @dadadruma i really think so too!!!! :D

  • @dadadruma

    was the u2 comment sarcastic?

......as far as i know, u2 isnt so huge...

  • @karstenhall huge meaning concert attraction they always sell out our area Stadiums rather quick Im just a bitter queen fan who knows queen would of sold out all stadiums in all of americas showcase cities

  • @karstenhall Are you kidding? Last tour U2 sold out stadiums selling cheap upper deck seats for 150 bucks each! Not that I am a U2 fan but you can't say they are not very popular.

  • @dadadruma Maybe they would be yes.

  • @dadadruma They'd sucker punch every comer...

  • @dadadruma When were they not bigger than U2?

  • @dadadruma "yes they would be even bigger than u2"

    They're bigger than U2 anyway.

  • @dadadruma Queen where and still are BIGGER than U2. U2 is a Great Band but Queen is Legendary

  • @dadadruma I totally agree! Queen would be No 1 in the World!

  • I wish they would release more American shows. They've got to have the originals somewhere in their inventory...Yay for hometown Houston

  • they're gonna release ( finally!) the performance of the hammersmith odeon christmas concert from 1975
