Interesting. I have been looking to see how the expander works. I have the Elite 90 set and was thinking of expanding it to 130. I don't know if the elite one works the same though. If you use your dumbbells for presses, it's not that hard to see you using all 85 pounds. I just did presses with 70 in each hand for 3 sets. That's what has me looking. I'm getting away from barbell presses which are harder on the shoulders.
@chris2006002 If you're buying your dumbbells solely on looks, I agree with you. Otherwise, the BowFlex is an inferior product in every way. Thanks for the comment.
@XFS540 It's kind of big, but still smaller than a Sport 9.0 stage 2. The cores would be smart, but for $79, these were a no-brainer purchase. I still haven't used them, though =)
i do notice that the screw type clip is a bit unstable though looking from the video and when you do overhead lifting like shoulder presser or benches i feel that the clip might slide off and weights will eventually fall off. They shouldve made it much more stable and have safety lock thats how i feel but then they got rid of it for $79 bucks which made sense to me!
@vincnet11 I'm not sure what you mean. Everything feels firm and solid, no worries about anything falling on my head (aside from possibly due to my own lack of strength!)
damn dude you are sooo lucky to have that add on kit and for a steal! but i was wondering if there is no number label on the handle if you go beyond 55 lbs, also if you are not interested in that thing and selling it email me?
@vincnet11 Sorry, not interested in selling it until I possibly (one day) sell the entire blocks. If you look carefully you can see some numbers etched into the metal near each of the holes. However, they're labeled 55, 65, and 75, leading me to believe these were originally built for the Classic series of blocks which went up to 45# without the expansions. So while they are labeled, the labels are a bit less useful for the Sport 5.5. At least I know which hole is the heaviest!
@vincnet11 Actually, I just weighed all three of the expansion plates individually on my bathroom scale. The first two are around 7.5# and the largest is just over 9#. Technically I guess these only bring up the potential total weight to just over 80#. Kind of strange.
@vincnet11 I got mine from Exercise Equipment Northwest, who ordered them directly from PowerBlock. As I mentioned before, they WERE listed on the PowerBlock website at the time for $79 (plus shipping). The store I got it from is great and didn't charge me shipping. My friend and I both picked up a set.

There is ALOT of "that's what she said" in this video. Im too lazy to name them all. XD
My favorite is the "three holes below".

Wouldn't it have been more practical if you just got the 20 lb. cores, or are those just for the 5.0s? That add-on kit makes the thing look HUGE.
