Saw Zon for the first time at the Delta Theatre in Hamilton and what a show...blew us away! Astral Projector is still my favourite album of all time. # 2 is Deep Purple Machine Head and #3 is Boston's 1st. The mix on the album is incredible. I read somewhere once that there were 48 drum tracks on the album, not sure about that but what a record!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Incidentally, if you're in Toronto, one or two of the guys in Zon work at the 12th Fret, the only place to get work done on your guitar or bass, if you care about your instrument.
Amazing. Dude! Awesome posting. I saw these guys in Windsor Ontario. In high schools and at the Masonic Temple and at Centennial High School. In my opinion they should have made it big. I'm not sure why. Maybe everyone was hung up on Rush in Canada. I have the AP vinyl and didn't even know they made more albums. If anyone is kind enough to burn these for me or sell me the original cd, that would make my day. It's like a breath of fresh air!
@madtownband Unreal I thought I was the only person who ever liked Zon...didn't the guitar player have some fancy type guitar (polyphonic 490 sythesized guitar) or something like that. Anyway what a walk back a generation or two !!
Thank you for uploading this! I've searched on youtube (in vain) for the last few years for the song "Back Down To Earth". Saw them open for Triumph in 1979 and became an instant fan.

What a hoot. The very first concert I ever saw was Styx, and Zon opened. Thanks for the memories.
