amoled displays have very limited lifetime... for some period they loose original brightness.

This is a valid point. The screen may be gorgeous and pretty and the best colours you've ever seen so far but after a certain amount of usage the colours DO fade&dim unfortunately. Still buy it! haha! :D x

How long is 'certain'? The display won't be on nearly as long as a OLED TV.

The thing is though aswell is that the screen has many power saving features such as the menus are nearly always in black and that the phone dims itself out when locked etc you catch my drift. The normal expectation for a phone with that sort of screen would be about 2 years but because of the features I would put another 2 years on top of that. Four years is my estimate before this phone's screen's colours fade/dim :)

Ehm, its in every country.. There is no way their going to sell these phones below manufacturing costs.. 70$.. I could wipe my ass with that.. Are americans really that stupid that because you can buy a phone with like 2 year contract and the first fee is like 100$, its the final price for the phone? NO, you have to take a contract with it that costs minimum like 20$ a month for 2 years, which makes 480$+ the phones "fee" price.

Unfortunatly no it will not be a verizon carrier, however it is an unlocked mobile device so it would be able to work with networks like AT&T and T-Mobile.

I have the normal samsung omnia, and it looks fastly diffrent to this new HD version. If I had a choice of getting this I would of gotten it instead of the older version samsung.

Menu's are so much better with this new HD model, everything is better actually.

the old omnia is running windows mobile 6.1 while the new omnia is running on Symbian the same on nokia 5800 thats it shows in the video they have the same UI. i could say the same thing also i wish i had the chance to have this rather than the old T_T i have the old omnia too..
