It becomes a problem when you use charge to buy your treasures, use money ment for savings, skip work or school to shop, and have no room to put the awesome clothes you just bought. Buying stupid things makes you feel good for a few hours but in the end will only make you feel stupid and more insecure. You really have to work on yourself and grow up.
tip: when you go to school only bring like 10 dollars for lunch, leaaving your debit or credit cards at home. this makes you feel like its not your job to go shoppping. :)

good luck with recovering from your addiction. u got it good in terms of an addiction though. if i stop using heroin i go into convulsions. and if i use heroin, i get robbed, arrested and i overdose occasionally. heroin is a hell of a drug, (especialy when co administered with meth).
You should read some financial books by Suze Orman or David Bach cause your headed down the road towards being broke and not having an emergency fund if you ever need one .

wow this video reminded me when i was back in college, i used to work and spend my money on clothes, makeup, and shoes, i used to make minimum salary and now 10 years later if i would've saved that money, i would have over $200,000 in the bank... my advice is to workout, take cooking lessons, do proactive things, save your money and you could go on great vacations, or buy a nice condo by the time you graduate...
I'm not sure if you're still having your shopping problem now, because I just ran across this video and haven't watched your other ones (yet), but what helped me with my shopping problem was by leaving my credit/debit card at home so I could just go look at stuff and still get to go "shopping". Also, if you want to treat yourself, bring a certain amount of cash and nothing more and that way you won't spend more than you need to. Hope that helps! :)

Here's my advice. Put your money in the bank and hide ur ATM card somewhere. Like me, I hide it in my musical box coz I hardly open it and it's locked. That could avoid me from spending it.
What I do when I see something when I want when really I don't need it because most the time I have the same exact thing but in a different style or color I just start chewing gum.

The best way to stop spending is to leave all your credit cards at home. Only take a small amount of money out with you for essentials. Because if you dont have the money to hand you cant spend. You can go home, think about it. Then if you still want it in five days time you can buy one of the things you like. Instead of going crazy on lots of things.

solution to shopping: hide your debit/credit card! or give it to your mom. that way you wont spend. and like every week only carry $20-40 CASH in your wallet for gas/food etc. it works for me!
But why dont you start buying things that are an actual investment? I mean, buying shoes and clothes that you may only wear once or twice isn't MAKING you money in the long term.
And made a to reference to AA and addiction, but you wouldn't see an addict holding up his/her heroin needle or bottle of pills and showing them off in most cases.

The 187 brush is awesome. Its great with liquid foundation for getting that "air brushed" look. You are making me a shopohaulic as well... Today I went to Sephora and bought Fresh's Sugar Lychee (love!), Pink Jasmine, and I ordered MJ's orange spray :D Retail therapy is the best so I cant help you there. Maybe just try staying away from the mall?

Wow, school in America is way different to school in Ireland... in our school if one of our classes is cancelled, one of the teachers that doesn't have a class for that period will come into the classroom and supervise us and we have to study or do homework or something...

Here's my advice. Put your money in the bank and hide ur ATM card somewhere. Like me, I hide it in my musical box coz I hardly open it and it's locked. That could avoid me from spending it.

Try putting all your money in your bank account. I tend to forget about money when its in my bank cuz i dont go there very often. I know what you mean tho. I had a problem had it fixed and since i got to college its been shopping online like CRAZYYYY. and now because I have no job.. I'm broke

The best way to stop spending is to leave all your credit cards at home. Only take a small amount of money out with you for essentials. Because if you dont have the money to hand you cant spend. You can go home, think about it. Then if you still want it in five days time you can buy one of the things you like. Instead of going crazy on lots of things.

I love the 187 brush! its so soft!! What I would do to stop shopping, would be to leave all my money and stuff at home. That way when i find something at the store, the money wouldn't be with me. LOL. Good luck on trying to stop shopping. It sucks!

solution to shopping: hide your debit/credit card! or give it to your mom. that way you wont spend. and like every week only carry $20-40 CASH in your wallet for gas/food etc. it works for me!

Im not trying to tell you what to do.
But why dont you start buying things that are an actual investment? I mean, buying shoes and clothes that you may only wear once or twice isn't MAKING you money in the long term.
And made a to reference to AA and addiction, but you wouldn't see an addict holding up his/her heroin needle or bottle of pills and showing them off in most cases.
If you really wanted to stop, you wouldn't be proud of what your doing. Im not putting you down, just an observation.

The 187 brush is awesome. Its great with liquid foundation for getting that "air brushed" look. You are making me a shopohaulic as well... Today I went to Sephora and bought Fresh's Sugar Lychee (love!), Pink Jasmine, and I ordered MJ's orange spray :D Retail therapy is the best so I cant help you there. Maybe just try staying away from the mall?
