My favorite western. The music is perfect and from the perspective of time, nostalgic and sad. Wistful. There will never be another western like it, never.
There are several differences between the book and the movie. I t was fun picking them out. The book, of course, has more character development. I was able to find a tour of the sites where many of the Shane scenes were shot in and about Jackson, Wyoming. It was fantastic. Like being in the movie. Enjoy!
H. pylori is the bacterium that has been found to cause stomach ulcers and stomach cancers. The discovery of this bug as the cause of ulcers revolutionized the treatment and course of peptic ulcer disease. I was so impressed that I adopted this as my email name.
I saw the movie in 1950's when I was about 10 years old. The emotionally haunting theme song which in my opinion contributes significantly to the movie's success brings back memories for people of my generation. Over time a great movie become nostalgic and even becomes a great myth in the good sense in the history of movies down through the centuries.
@goldbullions Same here! I was maybe 12 and what the West was really like and about. Sure, it was like 1892, but the history was right on - the homesteaders and the ranchers. The gunfighting days were coming to an end.
Thats an ugly little boy.

@hpylori7 Helicobacter Pylori. It is not necessary to go to doctors to treat stomach ulcers.
It doesn't even require a prescripion antibiotic, (which are dangerous & harm the body).
Broccoli sprout herb powder is the most potent natural killer of H-Pylori bacteria. Just
sprinkle on your food for several meals and within days the ulcer will be CURED.
