  • Thats an ugly little boy.

  • Thanks for the posting, what more can be said that has not already been said,

Simply the greatest western ever made.

  • My favorite western. The music is perfect and from the perspective of time, nostalgic and sad. Wistful. There will never be another western like it, never.

  • Thanks for that info i was intrigued as i have been fighting a battle with this cursed thing over the last year

they say the worms will have their way in the end

    one way or the other

    Ty pal

  • Loved the book, We're reading it in Literature for All and we'll be watching the movie soon :D

  • There are several differences between the book and the movie. I t was fun picking them out. The book, of course, has more character development. I was able to find a tour of the sites where many of the Shane scenes were shot in and about Jackson, Wyoming. It was fantastic. Like being in the movie. Enjoy!

  • Had this theme tune on my mind last night, so looked it up...glad i did.

some things you never forget do you...this movie will always be very special to me.

btw, the name hpylori got my attention, what's the connection if you don't mind me asking...it's a name i'll never forget either

  • H. pylori is the bacterium that has been found to cause stomach ulcers and stomach cancers. The discovery of this bug as the cause of ulcers revolutionized the treatment and course of peptic ulcer disease. I was so impressed that I adopted this as my email name.

  • @hpylori7 Helicobacter Pylori. It is not necessary to go to doctors to treat stomach ulcers.

It doesn't even require a prescripion antibiotic, (which are dangerous & harm the body).

Broccoli sprout herb powder is the most potent natural killer of H-Pylori bacteria. Just

sprinkle on your food for several meals and within days the ulcer will be CURED.

  • One of the greatest westerns ever produced!! Alan Ladd was superb.

  • @mjp2501 ...absolutely! even the opening song "the call of the faraway hills" was perfect. i loved this western. shane, shane....... come back!

  • I named my son "Shane" because of the character in this great 50's style western classic.

  • I saw the movie in 1950's when I was about 10 years old. The emotionally haunting theme song which in my opinion contributes significantly to the movie's success brings back memories for people of my generation. Over time a great movie become nostalgic and even becomes a great myth in the good sense in the history of movies down through the centuries.

  • @goldbullions Same here! I was maybe 12 and what the West was really like and about. Sure, it was like 1892, but the history was right on - the homesteaders and the ranchers. The gunfighting days were coming to an end.

  • GREAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SHANE WILL LIVE ON...FOREVER!!!
