Yoshimitsu has always been the character that I'm curious about when it comes to outfits. Now, he's somewhere between "kickass" and "I don't know..." Much more sword moves, though.
Some of his moves are block-able now only if he switches stances (sword drawn or sheathed). Such as FC,df+1. Other wise they have their normal properties.
He uses his edgeless blade for normal attacks, but he still whips out his old sword for unblockables. If you'll look closely, you'll see him wielding both at the same time during some attacks, but it's not one of his normal stances.
It's hard to notice, but you'll see that Yoshi's using two swords this time around: one is the cursed blade that has been passed down every Manji clan leader since Soul Calibur, the other is a recently-made, edgeless sword (thus can be blocked) used to suppress the other's power.
Yoshi can also go barehanded if the player so chooses... I dunno what changes that will do to his play-style, though...
Whithout swords some of Yoshi's moves get stronger/faster. 4~3 is an example. It comes out REALLY fast if he ain't using his swords. That's all I know about it so far. Oh, btw, he can't suicide with barehands also, if he tries to, he'll just disappear and reappear in the same place.
