  • Ribbit-ribbit! DurdurWehnuhduh! bidibidididi!

  • Oh handsome tom, how i miss thee

  • I love playing StareFax.

  • I did not like this game as a kid, nor do I like it now :/

  • studdering craig just clowned out this dude on sidescrollers

  • The music was amazing, suck dick sega.

  • @cornholieo21 SEGA has great music, listen to his world, live and learn, green hill and more, no matter what, SEGA will alway's have great music. not that Nintendo has bad music either, The Zelda song's are awesome.

  • I have the game but not the snes

  • @ERivera177

    ok

  • "croak!! Help me!!!"

ahh slippy your the same as always

  • @IAmClearlyTheBest it was originally going to be on the nes or snes but the graphics were to slow so they needed a better snes graphics chip

  • Do a Barrel Roll!

  • @IAmClearlyTheBest huh????? No It wasn't. I don't know if you're making a joke or not but the first is on the SNES.

  • This is pure NINTENDO action! =D

This game is one of the best on the snes.

Ive beat this game over 23 times on all routes.

    ........Man that is nostalgic. T_T

  • My childhood right here.. and maybe some other things..

  • Do a barrel roll!!!!!!!!!!

  • @PcROX123 not yet

  • @PcROX123 You can't do a barrel role on the snes starfox.

  • @Laggalaggadingdong Yes, you can! Duh! Press L or R twice!

  • Nintendo needs to bring this to Virtual Console

  • Nintendo Needs To Bring Aton Of Games There Are Only 15 Out of Over 600 Games For The N64 On The Vc

  • yeah but instead the keep releasing tons of games which weren't good even in the time they came out -.-

  • @DLAbaoaqu It is for the N64

  • @DLAbaoaqu you again, cant you just leave youtube!

  • @DLAbaoaqu It is, Its either this or Star Fox 64

  • @DLAbaoaqu I don't think that's physically possible unless they integrate Super FX hardware into the Wii's hardware.

  • @PSISpecter They can. The wii is much morepowersfull than the Super NES

  • @legogamer98 Yes,it may be much more powerful than the SNES,but the Super FX chip was hardware on its own,and didn't use the SNES's graphics engine at all.It only used the SNES to operate the Super FX.Meaning, unless the Wii has Super FX integrated into it or can fool the game into thinking it does,it's not possible.

  • @PSISpecter The Wii's hardware is more than capable of emulating StarFox and the SuperFX (and SFX2) chip. My Wii has a SNES emulator that easily runs the game. Also, Kirby Superstar, another game that makes use of the chip, is on the VC. So really, whether StarFox ends up on the VC or not is up to Nintendo.

  • @demonicstrife09 Yeah, I gave it some thought later on, then I realized...

The opening for Legend of Zelda:A Link to the Past uses the chip, and that opening is fully functional on the Virtual Console. So there's another example.

  • @DLAbaoaqu either this one or the 64 version...both are good. I never played the SNES version though.

  • @DLAbaoaqu there making star fox 64 for the 3ds

  • this video game changed the history of the electronis games.

  • forgot all about that fx chip. What did that do again

  • the super fx chip bascially processed another variable axis to create a 3-D plane that was necessary for the star fox graphics.

  • @ziqi92 oh so thats what it was for

  • Even after 15 years, it's still my favorite video game of all time.

  • same here

  • I have this starfox and it rocks as hell!

the only annoying is the difficulty, even if its set on easy its still tough!

but its a masterpiece and all the other starfox titles rock...especially the gamecube ones.

  • never understood why everyone loves star fox so much

  • well, if you mean the original, I don't get it either. If you mean the N64 game, then people love it 'cause of all of the different paths and levels.

  • because it was the first good fully 3d console game, because of the varied levels, because of the music and because of the fun gameplay

  • I wish star fox was like this instead of the new ones on the gamecube

  • star fox 64 is sweet. This...meh...

  • because of a game? theres a reason...

  • fuck you dude, starfox was a great game, dont blame your problems on it

  • If a "friend" left you due to a 12-13 year old SNES game he wasnt really a friend.

In fact the game made you a favor..

that if you are not a troll

  • actually i just hopped on the starfox bandwagon this year and guess what i found the reason my friend left me was because i kept dissin starfox another of my friends finnaly convinced me to give it a try i said aw to heck with it i tried it and liked it

(and i have my friend back plus one more)

  • it's ignorant to diss a game that you haven't even tried once or twice >_>

  • He doesn't sound very convincing hear.

  • Hm...just got this game yesterday. It's good...but it hasn't aged well, especially in the graphics department.(Although they were great for their time) Star Fox 64 is far better. Compared to the other SNES games that had SFX chip support (I.E. Donkey Kong Country trilogy, Yoshi's Island) Star Fox has aged terribly. While its still fun to play, in the graphics department it just goes to show how much better 2-D graphics age than 3-D...

  • Who cares about graphics?

  • Look, graphics do contribute to how good a game is, and quite frankly Star Fox looks like crap nowadays...however, i will admit it looks incredible for something made in the early 90's. That, and it's very fun and has catchy music too! Sure, graphics are horrible but the game is fun and thats what matters most!

  • i agree w/ theblackholeman who has an awesome name btw

  • Thanks. I thought my name was stupid.

  • it can be both! XD

  • i agree w/ you, awesome name btw

  • Donkey Kong trilogy didnt used the FX chip.

They were 2D games using "recorded 3D" images as bitmaps.. not 3D really.. the effect was cool and it was a very inteligent use of 2D side scrolling.

As for StarFox its graphics looks primitive and the framerate sucks..but the gameplay is awesome and thats what i like. Its like X-Wing for DOS.. i LIKE X-Wing for DOS better than X-wing vs TIE and so because it has better game involvement, music and deeper gameplay

  • Super FX chip forever.

  • what happened to handsome tom? why did he leave?

  • i agree with screwattack on team mates they do nothing to help u aceppt get attacked

  • Oh yeah, Starfox is one of my favorite SNES games. But it still doesn't compare to Super Metroid.

Starfox 64 was the best of the series, though.

  • i think zelda:ALTTP was better than both those, but they were still F****ing awesome!

  • It's funny how you compare a rail shooter with an adventure/rpg game. Now let's compare halo with Little Big Planet, ¿will ya?

  • They are both SNES games, Halo and LBP are exclusives for two different consoles.

  • You didn't get my point. How can you compare a rail shooter with an adventure/rpg game?

  • no I get your point. I compare games on the same console or company on a level of awesomeness, to compare outside the console ring compare in the genre. So I can compare Mario (Nintendo) and Sonic (Sega), but not Mario (Nintendo) and Phantasy Star II (Sega)

  • Simple: Staf Fox would own it.

  • i love how they talk in that game, gabagabagaaabgaba

    those grapics ruled

  • When I first played this game, my eyes basically exploded.

    Awesome.

  • It's still an awesome game. I'm probably going to pull it out of my drawer this weekend now =P

  • SEGA BLOWS MAN SEGA BLOWS ASSSSSSS

  • Why :(

    Do you not love me?

  • Pussy.

  • I love you

  • Why are people downvoting this comment? He's not saying that the game is bad. He's saying it aged poorly. The frame rate and polygons for example.

  • dude. it was a ok game, but your team talks like a computer getting it up the ass! it is fucked!

  • Take that, 'blast processing!!'

  • this game kicked ass when it first came out.

  • when I 1st herd about 3D games, I thought they ment the images pop out the TV

  • metroid!!

  • Yay!

  • One of my favorite SNES games.

Shame the sequel got canned, it was looking pretty damn good too.

  • (six months later, someone replies to your comment!)

I don't know why they canned the sequel (well, the true one, anyway. 64 was just a remake of sorts). Nintendo said that they finished the game entirely, so why would they can it when they're so close to marketing it?

  • I think it was a timing thing. the 64 was coming out shortly, and they wanted the next one on it. Teh game's technically complete. Just find it as an emulator and a patch.

  • Yeah, I've played it. Like the first game mixed with Star Fox Command. Awesome.

  • Hopefully it will be completed and tossed onto the Wii VC.

  • Your co fighters did bring some atmosphere and made it more challenging. One of the best for NES

  • Booyah! I remember playing this game over at my neighbor's house. He had his SNES plugged into a hi-fi stereo system with a subwoofer via the stereo component audio cables (IIRC), and it sounded ssssweet! The cinematics, sound effects, music and of course gameplay were a cut above the rest during that time for the 16-bit systems.

  • This game ruled, good times. ^-^

  • it doesnt look half bad for a snes game

  • awesomest game on the snes!

  • At the time, I was shitting myself at the graphics. FX ChiP!

  • Your wing mates chattering was what made this game feel so alive. What's the deal with wanting to fly solo, you freakin' nerds. Is it because you're used to being alone?

  • Peppy, Falco, and Slippy are a worthless bunch of fucking space!! You always had to save them and in return they never helped you out. 9/10, would have gotten a 10 if Fox was solo.

  • OH yeah, this game rocks. I remember the FX chip too. It was like...that N64 booster thing, but cooler since 3D was ultra awesome back then. :D

  • I got to the final level and almost beated the boss...but guess what? i ran out of lives...and I always pick the middle path ( the top one had a boss somewhere where I don't know how to hit on

  • I bet you mean the bird thing on sec Y. Damn that thing. He was the hardest boss in the whole game.

His weak spot was the ends of his arms.

  • I want to play this game! It's the only star fox game I don't have.

  • I fucking love this game..and I wholeheartedly agree with the lazyness of assistance. For the love of God you had to face the bosses yourself! Where's the love, Slippy?

  • A very decent review, since I also agree on the teamates worthlessness. I mean, they have Arwings too, they should TRY to defend themselves like YOU have to.

  • Slippy the frog needs to be fired

  • This game was amazing, and the music was fantastic.

  • rofl
