There are so many other showers of shit out there to single this one out isn't really plausable, especially the fallout from the nuclear bomb a.k.a big brother andall the other reality shows which seems to penetrate the schedule of every channel. Nathan Barley wasn't aimed at retards, it was another angry blurb from Charlie Brooker about yoof cultcha. The aim was probably to hate Nathan Barley as much as possible.
Then again I'm probably missing out on an in-joke between producers!

This video is a "spoof" created when Nathan Barley was frist broadcasted. Basically it's taking the p*ss. Theres not going to be a second series, the Comedy Commissioner at Channel 4 expressed he would give series 2 the go ahead, but Chris Morris and Charlie Brooker have yet to produce anything. Shame because Barley truly is a awesome show. Totally fresh!

email Channel 4 and say you'd like a 2nd series - it might make a difference.
It's a shame both Nathan Barley and Garth Marenghi's Dark Place got such poor viewing figures, despite many heralding them as some of the most genuinely innovative and enjoyable comedy programming we've seen in years.
