Make a reference to the English language. How many countries are using it as the official language, so does that make them all English ? Have you read Plutarch, Arrian etc... They makle a clear distinction between the ancient Macedonians and the ancient Greeks. Think about the death of Alexander. Right after his death, the Greeks had been celebrating it in Greece. It had been the official language in many many countries, so does this make all of them Greek ? I believe you are familiar with the examples that confirm my point here - the example of Philotas, when he was executed... At the same event, when Alexander had to made the hard decision whether to amnesty Philotas or not, he asked his closest friends and generals for their opinion, and his secretary Eumenes (who was Greek) said that he could not get into it, because he is Greek and only Macedonians had the right to make decisions about amnesty.

I honestly believe that you are aware of the fact that the ancient Macedonians had their own language, different from the Greek language. Your grandparents or people living in the area associated themselves with ancient Macedonians because of the name of the region or because of ancient monuments that they found around them. If you talk about my mothers' side they were Greek citizens.. and loyal, one even participated in the Greek-Turkish war. Id also like to point out thought that at the time there was not a concept of "macedonians" apart from the geographical region (macedonia county). The attempts of propagandists to mislead readers go on. Spartan troops spoke the Doric dialect with eachother a dialect which Atheneans couldnt fully copy with. This doesnt mean Spartans are not Greeks or Dorians In fact,it shows the Macedonian dialect was not that different from the Koine and could be understood eventhough it had some difficulty by other Greeks.This also explains the disappearance of the doric dialect and the quick adoption of the Koine from Macedonians

Make a reference to the English language. How many countries are using it as the official language, so does that make them all English ? Have you read Plutarch, Arrian etc... They makle a clear distinction between the ancient Macedonians and the ancient Greeks. Think about the death of Alexander. Right after his death, the Greeks had been celebrating it in Greece. I mean, where is the logic in this argument of yours ?

When you say - "the Macedonians spoke Greek", I believe you mean the Greek dialect called "koine". I must say that that's the dialect that had been widely used in the ancient world. It had been the official language in many many countries, so does this make all of them Greek ? Even the Romans had been using the Greek language as an official language, so does this make them Greeks too ? This argument of yours is not very convincing...

I believe you are familiar with the examples that confirm my point here - the example of Philotas, when he was executed... At the same event, when Alexander had to made the hard decision whether to amnesty Philotas or not, he asked his closest friends and generals for their opinion, and his secretary Eumenes (who was Greek) said that he could not get into it, because he is Greek and only Macedonians had the right to make decisions about amnesty.

I honestly believe that you are aware of the fact that the ancient Macedonians had their own language, different from the Greek language. Your grandparents or people living in the area associated themselves with ancient Macedonians because of the name of the region or because of ancient monuments that they found around them. Furthermore the idependance war against Bulgaria was based on political interests against Bugariann rule as it has been seen many times throughout history. In addition of course refuges from the USSR would return to their hometowns and not to some random place, dont'you think? Hmmm... If you talk about the ancestors from my fathers's side they were bulgarian citizens from 1941 till the end of the occupation in 1944. If you talk about my mothers' side they were Greek citizens.. and loyal, one even participated in the Greek-Turkish war. They were until the terror reached culmination. by the way when it comes to history, i also have documents that prove I am right. So dont think that the Greek point of view is 100% true.

Im very glad to hear you say that, i received this video as part of a FYROM propaganda email along with many other inaccurate arguments. Id also like to point out thought that at the time there was not a concept of "macedonians" apart from the geographical region (macedonia county). The war over this region maily involved Greece, Serbia and Bulgaria which broke out after Bulgaria attacked its former allies (greece & serbia) on 16 June 1913.

Yes,during the war there were casualties on both sides, but what about before the war?My family, and all the other Macedonians participated in that war because of the terror before the beggining of the war. And in that time the Communists in Greece promised the Macedonians that the basic human rights would be respected, that is why all the Macedonians there supported the Communists. ok, i see I'll have to explain this step-by-step so that it's clear. My grandparents had to move from northern Greece because they didn't speak Greek, because their parents were Macedonian and because they wanted to declare themselves as Macedonian. They were imprisoned and tortured by people who spoke Greek and presented them as people sent by the government. If that's not exodus, what the hell is??? Clear enough?
