  • @tomytherose You should be ashamed for thinking ICE CUBE created this beat. This beat has to be one of the most sampled things out there. Grandmaster Flash basically invented scratching, he DID invent backtracking.

    Know your shit!

  • Actually, grandmasterflash's name was just added to the group but he has said that he had really done nothing for the group.

  • If you love real hip hop like this then you will love this artist from queens ny..on the come up..needs heavy support from you guys..please give this artist a chance like you gave the legendary Grandmaster Flash a chance for his music to be heard..just search lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice

  • My theme song

  • в этой песне есть что то хорошее каждый день слушаю))

  • 3:50 ! guy's in white is *true Posing*

  • @stantheman272 Nahh... Grandmaster Flash is the original. Micheal Jackson copied this look a few years later and Snoop Dogg copied his hair and swagg.

  • god bless youtube...i can hear this song again

  • u already know....the original banger and the truth.

  • i remember goin to see these guys in concert in Liverpool (uk) in the 80's.....totally blew me away!

  • @jabba609218 lucky you !!

  • Yeah rap and hip hop were actually talking about social conflicts and other things that matter... better than today's "i got so much money" and "bitches bitches bitches".

  • New york's message man

  • Is that Snoop Dogg???

  • Grandmaster Flash is the real deal!

  • The youngsters of today don't understand you if you don't say it out loud! Explicitly! It's like they don't understand art at all cause they don't go to school or something. There's no poetry in that... it's just some dumb ass making fool of him self, and other fools like him are clapping their hands, listening and catching on to this shit while he's doing the thing and spitting his spit. It's just so... dumb!

  • Just look at that dressing code! Cowboy boots?! That would never work today! But it's really cool. I miss the culture and music of the 80's. That was a really good decade when it comes to music. I hate the G-funk, gangsta rap shit of today. It's like poison to people's minds. Like we don't hear enough about bitching, swearing, killing cops, dealing drugs and all that king of crazy shit. The old school is the real deal, it's less explicit, less vulgar, much more artistic, more subtle, poetic.

  • vai caray bagui éh lokoooooo porrra

  • THIS is hip hop, where something is actually being said---without any curse words.

  • @AEMoreira81 curse words are fine as long as they add something to a song. but yeah

  • @AEMoreira81 So true. The scene today is terrible and degrading and makes me feel sick to my stomach.

  • Crazy lady livin in a bag.

  • HIP HOP if what you are speaking is not truth, please shut up!!! Thanks that is all.

  • OMG so good vibes

  • Prawdziwy odlschoolowy Rap! Jednego z pionierów.

Proszę, więc żeby nie było już pierdolenia

"Kawałek z Gta Vice City, uh uh uh, fap fap fap"

    Pozdrawiam, Big up:)

  • Syndicate?

  • who used the beat first? i think grandmaster or was it ice cube?

  • @TheShooter204 AFAIK, GM was the first one. He was mixing in the Bronx in the very early 80's, with something like 2 turn tables, et al. Believe me, when this song hit the streets it was almost life changing. All, imho, of course. ;) But, I guess you could google it and be certain about the Ice Cube thing. Not trying to be an expert, just telling you what I saw/heard when I was around back then as a young kid. Peace.

  • @Gwid01 ok :D i diddnt know, im 14 now :D

  • @zm4tty 60s! with the hippies

  • @zm4tty Yeah, but the city was tough. Every other person was smoking crack in my neighborhood.

  • @zm4tty I lived those years in NYC. Wish I could relived that period...........memories!

  • @zm4tty No they werent, the 70's and early 80's were plagued with recession, hostages, and bad management from uncle sam. I didnt even live back then, but you can read it in a text book

  • see the dislike bar? yeah, me neither.

  • Watching this on MTV back in '82 (when incidentally it was MASSIVE) made me realise that something good was happening in the hiphop scene..

  • Why nobody don't do rap like this anymore.. Old school <3! Here's good rhythm and lyrics!

    -Officer, officer! What's the problem?

    -Man, YOU the problem!

  • 347 people got sent up for a 30 year bid...there still there....

  • the masonic beginnings of hip hop: legendary and really gay, so it all returned to where it started, no wonder........

  • @1lugojian

    dude it's the 80s

you could dress however you wanted and not be gay

  • @1lugojian ha haa troll alert!

  • @DIFFICULTENLIGHT troll seems for some people to mean anyone who portrays a different view point. if you spam me with this label, do you think i will get discredited? and who cares? you know nothing of symbolism and its language, you know nothing of the meaning of music, sounds, attitudes portrayed and what the real message is and what is has done in forming a culture so dominant. it's a spell, i know cause myself has been until recently my whole life under it. a mesmerizing feat you love!

  • @DIFFICULTENLIGHT just look at the cover of their album, it could have been that back in the 80's we were ignorant, there was no internet, but now we know, all info is out in the open, we know for sure those are masonic poses and gestures, a clear indicator of their allegiance and real message. and these are the roots of hip hop, how noble.

  • im trying not to lose my head for real

  • now I know where Ice Cube sampled Check 'Yo Self from

  • All right kids I will make this clear as possible. Its Melle Mel and Ed Fletcher that are rapping. Ed Fletcher also produced the beat. Grand Master Flash is the guy in the white jacket did not like this song and didnt want nothing to do with it. His name is still on the marquee. Why you asked, because back then people came to clubs to hear the DJ(disco mind set) but the help (the MC) took over the shows.

  • Didier drogba before he was football player!

  • @Expectnomercy316 lol yh
