anyone look into these films? the majority of them are Italian....I don't think there's a single film in this list that's North American....
the titles were decided on when they were acquired for North American distribution....for example, The Night Child's Italian title referred to a cursed medallion...and another english title for it is actually The Cursed Medallion....so it's not the filmmaker's fault the titles are lousy...
I love cheesy horror movies and thoroughly enjoy them.Is there any one else that loves them?I see alot of people here dissing them and what not(why watch it in the first place?) but I'm curious to know if there is anyone else out there like me,that eat, live, and breathe horror movies.

Watching these trailers just make me want to watch Planet Terror or Death Proof, and watching these trailers make me angry that the fake trailers from Grindhouse aren't on either of the DVDs. There should be a part 2 to this video and include Up From The Depths, Piranha, and others. Damn! These are so awesome!
@SonicThunderBYG I do remember seeing a commercial on t.v. for "Beyond the Door". Once upon a time commercials for horror movies were shown in the day time on network t.v.. Then at some point (not sure exactly when , maybe mid 80's) network t.v. stopped doing this. One thing for sure i do recall "Friday the 13th"(1984) commercial being on during the daytime over and over.
@guillyca Almost forgot about that movie. Kinda hilarious that the commercial for that movie you mentioned ran during of all things afternoon cartoons. Betcha a lot of little kiddies went to bed scared that night. ha , ha , ha.
@guillyca HA HA HA so much for thoughts of sugar plums dancing in his head. I remember my parents being repulsed by the whole idea of that movie. Yea it was , but i liked horror movies and my parents were very strict about my seeing any "R" rated movies. Of course i sneaked my way around this by getting my older sister helping me to get into a horror movie... he , he , he.
@computerpurple No, NETWORK TV ( NBC, ABC, CBS ) never really showed spots for THESE kinde of movies, .. SINDICATED ( regional indipendent ) TV stations did.
@Skulldini OOPS SORRY about that. I stand corrected. You are right. Where i lived i saw a lot of commercials for horror movies in the day time until (i'm guessing) some time after Friday the 13th came out.
Problem with movies of today are that most don't have good stories or endearing characters. Filmmakers and special effects that are used seem to be a lazy attempt at capturing something special. I prefer the old school effects of graphic violence and gore. Not digitized stuff. Prime example: look at the original Star Wars movies. They had models of spaceships and such built and didn't have digital animation of aliens. Yoda looked better in the earlier films. Enough said.
@xsnrgman hmm no not really. Maybe for you that were born in the 50-60's. But the modern movies have more effect that no old shitty movie can compare to.
Why was American International sued over "Abby",which was a blaxploitation version of "The Exorcist" and was pulled from theatres, but Film Ventures International wasn't sued over "Beyond The Door".which went on to be a box office hit?
Unlike the rest of these,"Beyond The Darkness" was filmed in West Germany.
The only flicks that came to mind for me was "Beyond The Door", a cheapjack Italian "Exorcist" rip-off & "The Night Evelyn Came Out Of The Grave", which i have seen on Chicago TV late one Friday night back in the mid 80's & it sucked!
Isn't the narrator for Lady Frankenstein the guy who did the voiceovers in the movie "Kentucky Fried Movie?" In the trailer for "Catholic High School Girls in Trouble" and "That's Armageddon?" It sounds just like him.
Those were some great days. Scared by trailers so corny to todays standards. But like you said the voice was scarier than anything. Saturday matinees for 50 cents (not 50 cent).
They use to show this stuff on USA Friday or Saturday night horror fest back in the 80's and waaaay after SNL and Fright Night some vampire woman with really big boobs use to host a show that featured them, but I forgot the name of her show.
Did they know how to name movies? "The night Evelyn came out of the grave", today that would be like naming Saw "The time Jigsaw kidnapped people and put them in a trap"
@DarthAzabrush That's "dare" advertising; it's pretty much telling the audience "You don't have the BALLS to come to our four-hour Horror Festival!" (even though most of the real action is in the last 30 minutes of each film.)
The kids would come regardless of any ad; horror flicks are great make-out pictures.
In psychology 101, we were asked the question 'who are you?', no matter what answer we gave it was wrong, we were asked the question over and over, until we caught on and asked, 'who is asking?' Then you went on to the next question. Thanks for the funny clips.

In psychology 101, we were asked the question 'who are you?', no matter what answer we gave it was wrong, we were asked the question over and over, until we caught on and asked, 'who is asking?' Then you went on to the next question. Thanks for the funny clips.
