  • @MULESLAX Ehh, I have played on both console and pc, And i hate the console because: Almost no games have 1920x01080 Resolution, The controls are horrible in OFP, Xbox doesnt have mods, And the graphics are much better on Pc. You are just an console fanboy, Go away man

  • it works very well, i tuned down to semi hardcore cause it was just toooo hard. i wish i could completely remove the grass so i could see as good as the AI can

  • I should probably make you all aware that this mod video is not heavily out of date. the AI has been updated several times. A new video is being created to showcase the new MUCH better AI by a studio. should be out by the end of the week

  • Burst mode to shoot at far targets? Not smart. Recoil is way too small. Arcade shooter though so...

  • This is not an arcade shooter, and yes, you're right, 3-round burst is entirely inappropriate in that scenario.

  • This is a good accurate mod, but i think it's not good enough for this game ,you are to close to the enemy at many times and they can see you through anything. If you want realism, go ARMA II, OF2 is arcade cr*p.

  • I have both, and I disagree. OFP2 is not arcade crap. It IS missing some features that we have come to expect from any sim bearing the name "Operation Flashpoint", but it also adds many things that have not previously been found in OFP.

  • I have been playing the first Operation Flashpoint since the demo came out and ARMA 1 & 2, and i really can see the difference between OF2 and ARMA 2, OF2 is arcade simulation, while ARMA2 is simulation.

    Sorry, but maybe you haven't played enough "arcade simulations" (WTF?) to know what arcade in a military shooter even is, these days.

    Tell me about how the A.I. PERFECTLY leads moving targets in OFP/ArmA and how they always fire their rockets at the exact instant they've gotten them reloaded. Yeah, realistic.

  • You can call it "cheap mod" i can't figure how the enemy saw you in the smoke and fire , you can try and amaze me with real life comparisons/logic , but deep inside you , you know you actually made them wallhack.

  • I didnt make them wallhack, Codemasters did. the AI does not see smoke, or bushes, or grass.

    Its just not as noticable in the original game because A) they cant shoot for sh1t b) they cant see for sh1t and c)they cant shoot for sh1t.

  • Played the game , you actually told me to opposite - you showed the actual AI and then the improved one. Stop blaming drawing distances when you have no idea how they work for the AI ;)

  • that might be a tiny bit to accurate because he shot you as soon as you came out of cover and if your in a firefight your not accurate anyway but good job

    Now i just need them to improve sniper weapons i.e. allow for adjustable elevation on scopes (as there really is no other factors the game takes into account) and draw distance to allow for long range shots.

    Oh BTW - have you tried tinkering with squad behaviour under fire? (support guns dont seem to keep their heads down) and perhaps medic->patient movements under fire? would be useful otherwise your just creating alot of pixelated dog food real fast.

  • do you meen with adjustable elevation on scope that u can change the zoom and stuff like in the reality?

  • Yeh thats a good point Zoom aswell but for now, elevation would be fine. It means you dont have to keep pointing your scope high up for shots at 1km.

    I mean the game needs a combat distance of 3km... the M82 .50 sniper rifle can easily reach out that far (longest confirmed kill was 2,430m).

    And we havnt even mentioned tank ranges! lol

  • lol.... no you dont, you can leave it as the game has it, or assign the mouse wheel to adjust the elevation on the sight before you start taking shots; after which you just compensate (as you do now) aiming up/down or ahead of ur target...

    Sadly the game really was restricted because of console gamers... "Arcade" style of playing - doesnt mean the PC gamers shouldnt have patches to add things such as:

    Adjustable scopes

    Improved AI

    Variable draw/combat distance

    lean left/right

    etc :P

  • Well...maybe you would have to spend a couple of weeks trying to complete a single mission with hardcore mod on ^^ but nice to see the improvements overall.
