If you like the bigger loops try a size N hook or bigger you might get the size you want with a hook that way.

now. i just did a chain earlier using finger crocheting/stitching/knitting. but now, to get a blanket, do you just do what you've been showing at the very begging because i noticed the horizontal lines on the beginning of the chain. do you just go from there or is there a certain way your doing this?

what if instead of pulling through just one of those horizontal stitches, what if you pulled through both? would it still work and make the rip effect or?

finger crocheting is just like normal crocheting but instead of a hook you use your finger. if you guys really want to know how to make these projects you gotta learn how to crochet first. then you can experiment with your fingers when you have learned all the techniques and stitches. i made a blanket big enough to overlap a double bed.my crochet time was kinda sporadic and it took me about a year to make as i was ill at the time as well.but i used a 4.00 hook (i think) with baby arran wool which is really soft and thick.i now have a set of bamboo hooks that go from tiny to 9.00 which is about the size of a finger, now i just have to find the wool that inspires me. i love your blankets,your so lucky to have found a technique that allows you to finish so fast, so beautiful :o)

@MegMegcat10 I use 3 skeins at a time, and takes about just those 3 skeins per bar of color. So I think about 15 skeins? But with rotating some colors and mixing them it was a little less than that. That was a small blanket for a baby though.

This video uses a version of the single crochet stitch. If you need help figuring out how to start out watch some videos on how to start the single stitch and adapt it for finger crocheting. It worked for me with a little practice!
