creo que algunas bandas que aqui aparecen chillan en este video como marilyn manson, por otra parte salen otros grandes señores del new wave ,post punk, etc y something's wrong excelente...
To me Robert Smith is the original goth. Bauhaus formed in 1978 and had their first single in August 1979. The cure were a bunch of students that formed a band in 1976 and didnt have their first album til 1979. People need to remember Robert Smith more often. I mean their were people like Peter Gabreil and Jim Morrison and Ozzy and Alice Cooper before "Peter Murphy". I love Vampires but dislike Vampire goths
I'm a longtime fan of xymox, but i sorta wished they would've kept their earlier sound, or at least kept away from their later sound (no offense). I think Ronny Morring realized that the whole "goth" thing sells and just kept going with it. If he's good at it and can earn a living from it, then i guess that is good.
I have to say this. I hate the way goth music has evolved. It did have it's original shocking nature and good moments, but I even recognized things about in the early 90's I didn't like. The youth grabbed hold of it and redefined it and ruined it for others that were already familiar with it or envolved in it somehow to begin with. Everything, no matter how sacred or interesting keeps getting recycled until it loses it's intentions. Only a few will understand what I'm saying.
well, typically, I'm not altogether into todays "goth" bands, but I know what you mean by that. There are tons of interesting bands that either fall into that medium and others that don't as much that are really great. I don't sit around listening to music all the time like I used to, but when I do, I'm always looking to find something good. Some other good ones are Massive Attack, windsor for the derby, rome, blonde redhead, celebration, etc.

@INITIALSJE I really understand you, you´re right, but, keep the faith on the true goth bands that still exists.

6:59: who`s that guy ?
MrsAdely 2 years ago
@MrsAdely
NIN = nine inch nails indeed!! *-*
and the guy in 6:59 (the perfect drug) and 6.-49- 6:52 (the video that i forgot the name) is the recently married Trent Reznor.... cute, isn't he? :P
the praying mantis that appears earlier is part of an Orbital video, I believe, the one that is a reference to Kafka's metamorphosis .
melodialovegoth 2 years ago
ok, so the mantis was not part of the orbital video, but part of Burn, the name that I forgot , by NIN.
the rest of the videos that i couldn't identify were Malice mizer videos, "Illuminati", and "Beast of blood" . they're a Japanese rock band
