  • I wish I could recall the name of that keyboard player or, what he called that keyboard, which was, essentially, a polyphonic synthesizer, 5 years before there were such instruments —You can clearly hear the string setting and other sounds he's playing on this song. One cool thing I recall was being deep in conversation with the keyboardist and a couple others from their entourage and realized that I had been talking with Graham Nash. By the by, Manna sounded incredible that day...

  • This is so cool. I used to have a promo copy of the self-titled album, "Manna" that this tune is from. Manna, a group that included some of the members from "Blues Image" of "Ride Captain Ride" fame was opening for Albert Collins at The Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium to support the presidential campaign of George McGovern in 1972. They were really nice guys. Keyboardist was amazing and he had this incredible polyphonic keyboard....
