  • That Oviraptor is so badass. Everyone underestimates the "egg thief".

  • Lol.

"Theres no food here... just sex."

Well hey.. y'know, might as well stay now im here... yeah... o.o

    xD

  • You have to admit that dinosaurs look more imtimitating, frightning and sexy with feathers. BTW i always though t-rex might have had a small ridge of feathers on its neck =P Preper for suicide JP fans

  • I think raptors are cool with feathers, as long as they weren't colored hot pink. I saw a video that showed a T-rex with feathers, but it looked like a rainbow on steroids. Bright pink and neon blue it burned my eyes, I think dark black or brown would be fine.

  • This is the core of the issue: people are willing to accept the idea of feathered dinosaurs only if the feathers don't make them look ridiculous. I don't think you need to worry about theropods coming in a hot pink, because if you think about it, that's terrible camouflage. XD

"I saw a video that showed a T-rex with feathers, but it looked like a rainbow on steroids."

I REMEMBER THAT! Ugh, that pissed me off! If you could remember where that video is, I'd appreciate it.

  • velociraptor vs oviraptor ¿who win?

  • obviously a velociraptor would win, oviraptors are just egg raiders.

  • True, velociraptors would win, but only if they were working together as a PACK (if they were hungry enough to attack one, that is).

Did you see how White-Tip backed away from the Oviraptor? She couldn't take on the dinosaur herself as an individual. If she had a pack then she could have stood a better chance.

And Oviraptors in here were proven to not just hunt eggs, but hunt other smaller animals POSSIBLY. That's still a hypothesis to the scientists to discuss.

  • I'm going to laugh if we discover feathers on a tyrannosaurus. I imagine mass suicides, and mostly from members of Dan's JP3 Page. You're all pathetic, and feathers or not, a velociraptor would kill you dead just the same.

  • Its a pretty popular theory juvenile rexes had a layer of downy feathers, and i think adults may still have carried elbow feathers and possibly even some on its neck.

  • I know, dude. I'm going to laugh because of the shitstorm it'll cause amongst the creationists and dinosaur purists.

  • Haha, yeah.

i think they look more unique with feathers, when they were lizard-like they were all the same grey-brown colour.

  • oviraptors smehow look like gypceros from monster hunter.

  • y'know when dinosaurs have featehrs...it just seems to ruin the once scary image of them set in by Jurassic Park. Of large scaly beasts. Feathers really seem to tame it down.

  • so who cares they would still kill a man easily

  • Even so they look cooler with feathers, but they are scarier without feathers

  • Yeah, I agree with you. Feathery animals never really had a scare factor, unless you're facing an angry, large bird in person.

  • Only because there aren't any that prey on humans, if there was you might regard them as frighting.

  • Thank you clarifying what I said.

  • Do you have any idea how idiotic that statement is? "Tame it down?" "Ruins their image?" These are not fictional monsters invented by Hollywood for your entertainment, these were animals! If you're trying to fetishize them as symbols of terror, that's absolutely pathetic, especially since reptiles are even less frightening than birds.

Jurassic Park was a movie. Velociraptor had feathers. Accept it, because there won't be an end to these discoveries.

  • You onestly think birds are more terrifying then per say a crocodile or python? come on!

  • Here's the diff: you can easily avoid or outrun these animals. Reptiles tire quickly and won't chase you far. Raptors would fucking chase you down without remorse. They're warm blooded and they're FAST.

You can honestly tell me that you wouldn't be terrified out of your mind if a dromaeosaurid was chasing you down, backed up by its pack, who all intended to gut you like a pig, even if they were feathered? Imagine a hawk from a rabbit's perspective.

    Feeling it yet?

  • but dromeosaurs WERE all reptiles. they where ancestors of birds but were still true reptiles.

  • Dromaeosaurids and avians are both descended from a common ancestor. Seeing as how they had feathers and a very avian anatomy, they were NOT TRUE reptiles.

Stop dodging the point. Their classification has absolutely nothing to do with how frightening they were. This is absolutely ridiculous. Feathers do not make an active hunting carnivore any less threatening, especially if it were chasing you down to kill you.

Lizardraptors only existed in Jurassic Park. Deal with it.

  • If dinosaurs are reptiles and birds are dinosaurs than birds are also reptiles, and that's fine by me.

  • dinosaurs are reptiles but over time they turned into birds

  • It's not that simple. The dividing line between what is an is not a bird is becoming increasing blurred with new discoveries. Characteristics and behaviors once thought to exist only in birds are now known to have been inherited from dinosaurs. Hollow bones, air sacs, a fused clavicle, feathers, warm bloodedness among countless others are all found in at least some dinosaurs. If the two groups are so similar than logically birds are dinosaurs and thus birds are reptiles.

  • did u say SOME dinosaurs?

  • Yes, obviously there is not as much similarity between a Triceratops and a turkey as there is between velociraptor and a turkey. And in fact velociraptors and turkeys have more in common than velociraptor and triceratops. Doesn't make much sense for velociraptor and triceratops to both be considered reptiles and not include birds in there does it?

  • yes i see but what about sauropod dinosaurs?

  • What about them? They belong to the order Saurischia along with the Theropods. Triceratops belongs to the Ornithischia order.

  • o. i just here trying to find out birds dinosaurs and reptiles have in common.... but i think u already told me right?

  • I told you a bit yes but truthfully the best thing to do is use Google, you'll find tons of information and a lot more then I can post here.

  • they may not have so much in common, but notice that the triceratop has a beak like a parrot. That is at least one common thing.

But don't forget that triceratop far from being a bird. Triceratop is as much common with velociraptor as the lion is with the elephant.

  • dromaeosaurids are still reptiles despite everything you said

  • if not for reptiles birds would not exist velociraptor is between a crocodile and a bird

  • but triceratops was a dinosaur it had three horsn adn a frill on its head it was a cerapotsian.

  • actually, they ARE classified as reptiles but are considered more closely related to birds. dinosaurs are like the link between reptiles and birds

  • How is it that I can say something, and you will still try and argue with me by saying exactly what I said?

  • well said. in the first JP the raptors were as big as Utahraptor and in JP2 they wer based off the deinonychus, but it wasnt that big. feathers truly give the raptors a unique image and even if this animal was puny. its inteligene wil find a way to kil you instantly, pack or no pack, it can kick anyones ass.

  • I think it makes them alot fucking scarier =P
