Okay, the fact that he beat the time of the NCAA D1 swimmer that won the 200 IM is just crazy. i think David Nolan will be the best american swimmer, if not the best swimmer in the world.
David, ridiculous swim pal. Saw it on PCN. It takes real humble character to compete that well under those circumstances & not to mention the interviews before hand.. To be a 200IM'er it takes alot of talent, but to perform like that takes dedication.
I noticed no full high tech suit, bucket turn, and.. did I NOT see a "new" legal butterfly kick on that breaststroke? I earned a 4th place in '96 in that very event w a 1:53. & 2nd in 100 br, 1:41 is INCREDIBLE -Good luck at Stanford. ..Andy C....

David Nolan is the best high school swimmer ever. better than Feigen, Whitaker, Tom Shields, all of them. He is a total boss. And the scariest part is –that swim wasn't perfect. He didn't do a back/breast flipturn, nor did he time his freestyle walls well. Just on technicalities he could have gone 1:40. He will obviously dominate NCAA swimming to a disturbing degree, that much is obvious. I'm just curious how he will do in LCM and whether he'll get a ticket to London.
@timbo3243234 I saw him race Phelps & Lochte last summer at Nats, he didnt make the pan pacs team but it was still awesome to see him place 7th out of 8th in the same pool as Phelps, Lochte, other amazing swimmers and a great NCAA swimmer like Austin Surhoff

It is what you see Phelps and Lochte do it. Yeah, it really isn't a true "flip-turn", but it literally is a flip after you touch on your back.

Coach Kenny probably wishes Nolan was a freshman, and Mosko didn't have to have shoulder surgery. That way Stanford could sweep the NCAA title no problem.
