my uncle died some years back, he had celiac (and colon cancer) but for your medical update, doctor told him he did not have complete musculature in his abdomen. surprised the surgeon, wonder if it might go with celiac gene????? signed, just glad gut pain is gone I work out but will not have victoria's secret abs.
thank you. I get what you are saying. pain is gone since GF. but I do not know if that will be solved. took me 50 years to figure it out, it was not the milk......signed, love my waffle iron.
@BeYeaY - you could be speaking about anti-transglutaminase (tTG), a common celiac test. Unfortunately many doctors are stuck in an outdated model of celiac disease and think that with no diarrhea you couldn't have it - that is wrong.
I cannot diagnose you over the internet but if your tTG test truly was positive 10 years ago then you should be gluten-free. You could try it and see how you feel after 30 days. Contact me at 408-733-0400 for a free consultation if you'd like more help.
Part 3: symptoms: 1) ADHD 2) anxiety and depression at period of my life. 3) delayed puberty and growing in general 4) thin extremities 5) enlarged abdomen 6) geographical tongue. Based in these symptoms, what do you think is deficient ?thanx for ur help
Part 2: I went to another doctor in different country and explained to him then asked me if I have diarhea so I replied No, then he said then you don't have celiac period.
If you can help me by answering this Question: I did a blood test ten years ago and as I can remember anti- something was way over normal range then went to another Doc and did biopsy and said it looks like(didn't give me 100% opinion
Great information ! My brother was tested positive in the 200's for celiac disease ,and he was wondering why his stomach was kind of puffed out ..i will have him look at this vid. I favorited it ..thank you once again Dr. :)
I have the huge abdomen and my muscles are slowly building back up since I've been off gluten since August. I wondered why my abdomen recently started growing so big. How temporary can this be?
I have been diagnosed with Lupus and have abdominal destention. I have been approached after knee surgery about the possibility of Ciliac, but test was negative. Could I still have? Does this often or ever happen with Lupus?
@dooners2u blood test are 85% false negative. Get a DNA test for celiac, few labs do it but they are 100% accurate. I was having lupus symptoms until I found out I was celiac (after doing blood tests for thirty years (I complains of pain and tiredness to Drs for years, between Europe and the USA.) Since I am on a gluten free diet (you have to be very strict and learn of all the hidden gluten in food) for three years now, my life has turned around
@singingmaya it's great to be GF and the foods are great. even cookie mix......sure is good to not have pain with each meal after decades, you are not the only one where it took years to find out. be well and enjoy.
Ummm...since when did former Miss America's become doctors? Gluten may cloud my brain, but I know jaw-dropping beauty when I see it.

@BeYeaY not so, they have redefined that. my gut works now since Gluten Free and it was very sluggish for decades. I am so happy to be Gluten Free.
