  • the scene when Jubilee is in the arcade is taken from X-Men TAS episode "Night of the Sentinels

  • but on the upside it opened the door for X-Men movies

  • I love how they have the X-Men arcade game in the background for Jubilees scene

  • JUNIOR REJECT X-MEN VS THE RIDDLER....MAN THE ACTING WAS BAD IN THIS.

  • This could have been better than Heroes if they actually did it right. But this film was ahead of its time...

  • I think the Emma controling the weather was maybe a reference to the incident where she switched bodies with Storm and mustve gotten some of her powers

  • I remember the night that this aired on Fox! I even programmed the VCR to record it. I still have my copy of it on VHS but sad to say having watched it so many time it is filled with glitches. My fav is the actor who played Mondo. Why? I found in a tv guide interview we were both the same age in real life! Now days I wonder where the actor is now? If he went on to do anything else after that?

  • 6:36 I almost didn't realize that was Tyler Labine (badass dude from Reaper)

  • This is one of the many, many reasons why Marvel nearly went bankrupt in the late 90's .

  • @archer1949 why? i don't understand

  • @xMrLilMonsterx Because in the 90's, Marvel was owned by "New World Enterprises". a media conglomeration that, among other things, owned a cut rate movie and TV production company. They would churn out Marvel related projects as cheap and quickly as possible while publishing for the dumbest, most gimmicky comics around.

This show was pretty much the nadir.

After awhile, the fans got sick of the crap and left Marvel in droves. By 1999, they were on the verge of closing house altogether.

  • @archer1949 oh,thanks for the information.

  • Wait, the villain's name is Russell? So I can pretend he's the same character from "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" then. Awesome.

  • Man, remember back in the 90's when arcades would hand out free cigarettes and all the girls wore fluorescent lipstick? Those were the days.

  • damn the actress that play jubilee is so beautiful....

  • did anybody else notice the xmen arcade game?

  • wait... isn't Jubilee Asian?

  • "Home SUCKS man...FREEDOM rocks"

  • Ugh The Video/Qualiy Is So 1996 & Annoying Lol

  • Its a guilty pleasure but ive loved this movie since 1996.Just wish it became a series. It was in the works but never happened.

  • omg this is beter then the xmen movies except first class

  • Damn Emma!! haa shes 90s hot!

    BTW Man so sweet Jubilee!!

2011 Banshee is a total Beta Male haha

cause this Banshee is bangin Frost!!

    Ello Lover...best line ever

  • Emma Frost looks like she belongs in a Victoria's Secret ad!

  • OMG, Banshee is so hot, but having trouble deciding if I like 1996 Banshee or 2011 Banshee..

  • I waited so long for the series and it never came. My only complaint thought was Mondo's powers. I remember all they did was give some cheesy sound effect. Mustve ran out of money or didnt have it in the budget to add special effects for him. Other than that I liked the movie. I even 4gave em for not showing Banshee flying. God, I read like a geek....

  • I think it had potential.....

  • why didnt that bitch let go of his hand?

  • It's actually a psionic mind blast so it is white-ish/purple per the psionic displays in Marvel Comics

  • @deathwishtaco banshee is in both movies, but I dont see something else the same. Even charles xavier isnt in this movie. but its still very good

  • I know why Emma can control the weather: She possesed Storm's body and joined the Hellfire clubd but the X-men manage to free Storm from Emma's possession while they are being attacked by Sentinels and Sebastian Shaw also in the comic she may control the weather but I'm not sure if its true its just a speculation

  • its storm before she turned black

  • So it's just X-Men: First Class but terrible and made in the 90s? I've got to watch this! Thank you BadMoviesRock.

  • have they ever made a dvd version or just vhs?

  • AT LAST!!! i use to have this movie on VHS now i can see it with out the commercials! thank you! a million times thank you. i know this had almost nothing to do with the comic but i still loved it. one side note does this not show how little Fox respects Sci-Fi?

  • omg its penny halliwell :D x

  • miss the 90's

  • i luv it in a cheesy 90s wow its an x men movie kindaway still better than woverine lol

  • I remember staying up late to watch this. I loved it. I wish they did make this into a series but I'm guessing they had to cancel because Marvel started to lose money at that point.

  • inception?

  • 7:09 X-Men Arcade game in the background!

  • Holy shit his name is Russell in this movie too! That's eerie...

  • The doctor on the right at 1:25 is the dad (not Rick Morranis, but the other one) from Honey I Shrunk The Kids. No importance, just a fun fact. In the movie his name was Russell, and yes, this info is from memory, unfortunately.

  • wow have you seen Emma's tits :OO

    awesome :D

  • As bad as this is, I still enjoy it......I may be biased since I do love X-Men Though...

  • ya know....when the girl didnt let go of his arm, the driver coud have just....stopped -.-

  • Comment removed

  • lol.

And intro stolen right out of the Season 2 SeaQuest opener. Gotta love 90's sci-fi.

  • I think he is doing more of a Max Headroom imitation! (He was Max Headroom if your old enough to remember that.)

  • ...Every-body wanted to be JIM Carrey in the 90"s after Batman Forever because they all wanted that big ass pay day i guess. example>(guy in blue jim carrey much any one)

  • Now Playing ftw

  • I didn't make it thirty seconds

  • Lol @ TheBassChangedMyLife! Since when was she able to do all of that! I love it when she pointed at them at the end like they better watch it.

  • I love the opening example of "powers". Dont piss off Emma Frost, or she'll signal the SFX guys sitting in the corner with the wind machine and blow your ass over.

  • I vaugley remember seeing this when I was younger but never got into it. The nowplaying podcast kept mentioning it and here I am !

  • Weak ass excuse for a Jim Carey rip off "Russell"

  • i remember seeing this when i was a kid and i thought hector was a bitch!!!! this movie was bad but it was a start to other x-men related shows and films

  • BTW thums up if now playing brought you here

  • 7:55 ITS ALLIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol they had to make the spanish guy gay! lol

  • LOOK OUT! SHE'S GOT SPARKLERS IN HER HANDS!

  • but on the upside this was the pre cursor to the x-men movies!!

  • horrible beyond belief

  • at 6:35 it's Sock from Reaper!

  • I remember being so stoked that this was coming on as a kid. Lol this fucking sucks!

  • im just watchin this for the first cuz i was grounded hen it came on back in the day lol it was a pretty decent show only they should have started with a little bit of the phalanx story (like at least 5 min.) then went into this story. jubille originally started with the x-men NOT generation X

  • "we should get good secretions."

    best opening line ever.

  • damn this makes x-men 3 look like a masterpiece =/

  • Since when did Emma have wind powers? As much as this movie sucked at least it is probably more accurate that all of x-men movies combined. (Wolverine Origins comes to mind)

The person playing Emma really sucks tho.. Plus the use of everyone's power kinda sucked. Jubilee's power appeared useless.. literally producing sparklers. When she could bring down a Sentinel is she chose.

  • @gdogg2000 i think they were trying to have it look like telekinetic powers...

  • @gdogg2000 sigh.... i love the comic books too, howeve people gottta realise that TV, Movies, Cartoons, Comics are different medias. Movies dont have to be exact copies of comics, they really dont. BTW, maybe Emma was making them think that crazy stroms were happening in the building. And Jubilee clearly has just started to develop her powers....so a few months at either of the schools would help her bring down a sentinel.

  • i thought it was decent for a tv movie from 1996. and did anyone notice and also find it really strange that both this movie and the new xmen movies both used the same castle(Hatley castle) as Xavier's mansion?

  • and there's an X-men game in the background too lol

  • wow the villain is totally forshadowing inception in 14 years lol

  • Well, now we know where Inception originated

  • This guy is talking about inception

  • I used to run e-mail for my homies! *SNICKER*

  • This "Russel" guy is trying to be a cross between Jim Carrey as the Riddler, and Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor... and failing horridly.

  • i remember watching this when it first aired.........didn't like it then either lol.

  • Wouldn't Street Fighter be more appropriate than VF? I mean, this is the same year X Men Vs Street Fighter was released and Capcom already had the licence since '94. Its the reason why Deadpool performed a Shrouken.

  • @Mysterious0Bob

If you read any marvel comics around the time it came out you could find promo's for the movie/Contests to win a Virtua Fighter arcade machine, VF comics and a subscription to generation X (back when it was still good) In essence Sega used the movie as a way to advertise Virtua Fighter because VF 2 had just come out i believe. That aside when the hell did emma frost become Storm?

  • holy crap is that jim carrey, it sounds alot like him

  • @rogernator5000 Matt was around long before Carey was.

  • Matt is brilliant as always

He seems to be bringing the same sensibilities that he brought to Max Headroom to Generation X

  • LOL I remember waiting for this to come on when I was like 6 or 7.

  • Why the hell didn't the stupid girl let go?

  • yellow lipstick! (sigh) the 90s

  • Holy crap their was an X-Men video game!

  • who was the women with the blond hair? In the beginning of the film

  • @peasantboy9 Yes, Emma can't control the weather, but she is capable of altering perceptions and casting illusions. She is also a latent telekinetic, having that potential.

She is a Omega-level Telepath; a Psi of the Highest Order.

  • What does MEA stand for?

  • I remember this night... it was pretty exciting cause right after Generation X was the first episode of Goosebumps...

  • @freshoreste no, goosebumps came out a year earlier

  • ah, good times, a movie from a time where movies didn't need to make sense xD

thanks so much for uploading, at least 12 years ago that i saw this 0__0

  • Why does Emma look like she's made of leather? She isn't storm she can't control weather so what the hells going on here ? and who ever did the research on this needs to be found and given quite a serious talking to about how not to get so much shit wrong.

  • nice,,,, at 7 20

thats me sayin ,,shes a mutant

    damm red light

    Mohawk in dreadlocks

    wow i was in this 4 x

  • 1.) Emma Frost can't control weather.

2.) That kid in the red plaid shirt should've played as Angelo.

3.) Wasn't Angelo a street kid? 4.) Jubilee is Asain, not white.

    5.) Jubilee is an Orphan.

No worries, I'm still enjoying it.

  • emma frost is a whore

  • "It's sorta horrible. I love it." I couldn't agree with this comment any more. I feel exactly this way about hundreds of things. My brother just torrented this movie last night, can't wait to watch the whole thing again. Hahahahaha

  • Y'know interestingly, this seems to me more true to the comics in the cinematic aspects than the later film trilogy. Maybe not in terms of characters, story, or any of the core elements of the franchise, but the hokey dialogue, the camera angles and the animated cinamatography feels like watching a mid-90's comic book.

  • @Phillyguy30 You mean Asian-American. I remembered back from X-Men animated series from the 90's.

  • GO EMMA!!! :3

  • Ah, the 90s, did you do anything right?

  • the mansion and the inside of the mansion did they use them for x-men 1 or am i just seeing things.

  • Emma looks more like Buffy Summers than an X-Man.

  • @TheUltimateWhistle The same could be said for the comic character, come to think of it. ^_^

  • did any one else see the x-men arcade game at 7:07 that's kinda weird

  • @nejitenfan ^_^ I remember having an argument for an entire day with a friend of mine in 9th grade about that very fact. My stance was that X-Men merchandise exists in their world - the basis of that argument being that, in the DC vs. Marvel crossover when people were randomly being transported from one comic universe to the other, a man walked into a collectibles store and asked what happened to all of their X-Men stuff, to which he replied, "what are X-Men?" ...yeah, we're THAT kind of nerd.

  • was this movie at all good?

  • @sultaa86 It was okay for what it was, but it was most decidedly more of a cult classic than a best seller.

  • lol is jubilee's real name.. jubilation lee? and that weird mad scientist orwhatever guy look and act a lot like jim carrey :P is it jimmyboy ?:P

  • I loved when it came out, it was 1995/96 and for TV.

  • When and where are these Marvel Comics movies made and shown? What channel on tv shows them and why the hell can't I find these on DVD Rentals?!!!!!

  • i think the storm emma created was a telepathic illusion

  • wait a sec..... how did Emma do that? she isnt storm isnt she?

  • LOL. MAX HEADROOM popping up in your Virtua Fighter! 6:47

  • awesome little movie. but if this generation x is a pilot for a series, whats the series called? i remember watching an old xmen type movie when i was younger but i cant remember the name of it. the only parts i can remember was when Jubilee was shocking a arcade game, and scott makeing out with some girl in a car and he catches the radio on fire. and the last then i remember was scott talking to proffessor x about what happend.

  • @2ranzan you're talking about the x-men cartoon series. but it ran in the 80's.

  • at 7:07 X-men arcade cabinet, lol.

  • holy shit 90's bring it back

  • 1. For some reason when I was a kid, I used to have a mean crush on the chick that played Jubilee. Even though I was like 6 and she wasnt asian. I know

    2. Subliminal messages

    3. That Russel guy is fucking weird man

    4. Why the hell did the arcade game's characters keep gaining and losing health?

    5. Gold lipstick is sexy... Especially the kind that glows in the dark

  • Looks like someone TP'd the fuck out of Frost's sleeping chambers.

  • The whole Jubilee not being asian thing could be attributed to the fact that she was never really DRAWN that way, until the earl 2000s. And suck it up, I'd take Heather McComb in a raincoat any day.

    Anyway, I love this cheesefest.

  • @ZyxthePest It's been a while since I've read the comics, but from what i remember she was introduced as Chinese American in the late 80's.

  • gosh this sux big time

  • they should remake this as a movie movie not as at T.V movie plus make jubilee asian!

  • so im assuming that the chick in the beggining was storm. WHY IS SHE WHITE?!?!?!?

  • @bjeffrobn Not Storm. Emma Frost aka the White Queen.

  • marvel should make a new Generation X movie. i'd say Jim Carrey should play the guy who enters people's dreams but i think Jim would make a better Cletus Cassidy/Carnage

  • i didnt know mr. fantastic was in he x men. and cyclops was blonde before

  • Watching this, I'm glad they finally killed skin.

  • thanks for the upload

  • who`s the hispanic dude in the begining ?

  • @bigboinow Skin

  • @wolvirengirlfreind - well thanks (: i didn't think anybody would reply.

  • @bigboinow Well i read almost every ones comment and TRY to repley to any one i can...i am nice that way!!!!

  • @wolvirengirlfreind - awww thankss [ :

  • holy crap, it's Max Hedrum!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the evil guy sounds and acts like jim carrey

  • I remember this piece of crap. Nothing was done correctly. I was so disappointed that Jubilee was portrayed by a white instead of being chinese. But I've since come to know that Hollywood doesn't like good Asian characters and changes them to white everytime. Check out this years Last Airbender if you think I'm lying.

  • Emma Frost does not control the weather wtf?

  • Clearly Jim Carrey and Batman Forever took some notes from this one.

  • @LuvKing87 how? This was made after Batman Forever

  • @LuvKing87 other way around actually, batman forever came out the year before. still kinda sad though...

  • this isn't that bad, a lot of it correlates well with the later bigger budget X-men films hell, they used the same location for the mansion.

  • What the hell with the starting attack? Is Emma Storm? Why does she have Cerebo? Where is Xavier? This makes no sense! Oh and the X-Men game in the background was not clever it was just annoying.

  • LOL GAWDS this is SO bad its good

  • the guy in the blue suit was the principal on welcome freshmen

  • I saw this the night it came on in 1996. It hasn't aged well.

  • right after the hour long x men with lady deathstrike

  • @NiceGuyKeath i saw this when it air too. i was young but generation x, sadly, was one of the comics i read religiously. i was happy to see it happen but i remember thinking it sucked pretty hard and the special effects were weak. even then.

  • @NiceGuyKeath True.

  • if you think this is horrible what would you call to "jason x" a 2001 FILM. you have to see it!! i saw it 3/4 days ago and i was like: WHATA FUCK?!

  • the best jubille depiction has got to be the jubilee in x-men 2, she was 1)pretty 2)asian and 3) cool looking powers

  • atleast the jacket looked ok and she was in the arcade, what i remember was that sentinals came and wolv. cyclopes rouge and gambit save her its right before morph died the 1st time

  • @aquatictwist

No. She was a Dazzler knock-off designed to pull in asian readers.

  • @corinbutler her and dazzler do not have the same powers at all, Dazzler sparkles Jubilee makes fire works, big diffrence. Dazzler and Jubilee use their powers in diffrent ways the only similarity they have is they're bright and flashy. They also have completely diffreny personalities and roles.

  • This never made it ti Australia I've been looking for it

  • Oh my, i loved generation x the comic, and although i love finola hughes from Genral Hospital. This was awful. Isn't one playing sean the fat guy from cold case?

  • For posting this, you are my new best friend.

  • Two question's....Why was jubilee white instead of asian in this film???,and why the hell was her powers (Firework's) depicted soo weak ??....Her fireworks are multi-colorful, and they was suppose to plow up that arcade machine.HELLO!!! she's famous for blowing thing's up.The actual "Asian" jubilee, could've took on those guards.

  • yeah! youre right! they didnt fell a thing!!

  • @Phillyguy30 Jubilee is actually very powerful, considering how silly her powers look. She can actually create subatomic "explosions".

  • @Phillyguy30 remember TV shows were limited in visual effects at the time. I'm sure if this was remade todau it would be much better.

  • @Phillyguy30

She was orginally meant to be a caucasian character with similar powers (most likely Boomer or Dazzler) but because of Jubilee's popularity in X-Men: The Animated Series, they decided the character should be Jubilee.

  • @Phillyguy30 for the powers: small budget. and originally jubilee was not going to be in this movie, it was going to be dazzler or boomer. which may explain why a Caucasian was cast.

  • @Phillyguy30

fatalposition's right. Originally it was going to be a caucasian character with similar powers to Jubilee (Dazzler, Boomer), but fan outcry and Jubilee's popularity made them change the main character to Jubilee. But I guess they didn't feel the need to change to an Asian cast member.

  • @Curtis006 yea their mistake just like shamalya orwhatever his name is.. for not taking so many asian actors on airbender

  • @Phillyguy30 YAY! you tell them :D

  • @Phillyguy30 that's because she was added in the very last minute, boom boom/dazzler were both considered to be the lead. They change it to Jubilee in the last minute.

  • @Phillyguy30 I'm not entirely sure, but I think that she was half white and half Chinese. Outside of that, though, my guess is that they were just marketing what they thought would sell best. (I know...doesn't really sound like much of a reason to me, either.)

  • @Phillyguy30 you got some weird ass obsession with her being asian, just go out in the streets of san francisco you will see thousands

  • because this isnt xmen.

  • this show and movie should have gotten more respect. it was FANTASTIC!

  • I love this movie =x At the time, this was the closest thing to an X-Men movie.

  • What a little bitch that guys sister is.

  • oh lord I cant watch this

  • I HATE that Jubilee is not Asian! Ug!

  • kinda would have love to have seen a series....WOAH! The pineal gland....intresting!

  • im in this at ,,7,20

im an xtra i say ,,shes a mutant
