  • Last night my Glowworm Ultimate which is also a 40 FF has just blown it's sequence board and the 2 fuses. Took old board out and it has melted the solder tracks under one of the relays. Couldn't see a part number on the pcb but it has 9 wires including earths so I assume it's a two fuse 7 wire job. You don't happen to know what serial numbers of the new board is? Is it the same as the main boiler S/N on the casing label?

  • @TK42138 I've since had the boiler replaced as a lot of other things went wrong with it but I did keep the new PCB. I'll dig it out and get back to you with a serial/part number if I can see one.

Thanks for responding. Have replaced sequence board (PCB) as weather is on the turn now. Found traces of a spider web and what looks like remains of a spider! Damn thing must have crawled across it and shorted it out which blew the two fuses and melted the board. My local heating parts supplier said in 30 years he's only heard of one other similar incident which was a short caused by a moth getting into a control board.
