People are getting a bit too frustrated about this. While it may appear I have a biased opinion (being from the UK) you can even see from the video that the commentators agree with the fact that Khan was harshly treated. Matters weren't helped by the fact that interviewing the ref was not allowed.
At the end of the day, the rematch is gonna happen and then we'll truly know who deserves the win.

Khan has a weak chin and doesn't have any punching power, that is why he lost. He may be more active and more in control in this fight but Khan looked like he could have been knocked out more and never looked like he was doing any damage. Those two knock downs in the first round were clearly slips too.
That said both fighters sucks tbh, Mayweather or pacquiao would beat them both.

A boxer can't do nothing against someone who comes in with his head all the time, except push. I think people really got behind lamont and because of that swayed the score his way. Even i was cheering on lamont half way through. All bias aside Amir won it for me. Bernard hopkins said after the fight if you fight in washington you are already two points down!
This fight was very close. I thought it could easily be 113-112 for either or even a draw. Peterson came to fight, Khan? To hit, hold and run. Khan didnt even come close to fighting like a champion. He couldnt find a way to keep Peterson off him to avoid infighting (Which Khan obviously wanted no part of) so he shoved him away. He was warned in at least 7 rounds for pushing. Khan likes it when things go his way, when his opponent stays on the outside so he can box, Peterson didnt oblige him :)
Khan is not elite at all, his defense is average, his boxing skills were marginal, and his stamina seemed to be an issue as well. The fouls from the ref in a championship fight were petty, I mean hit the guy in the nuts a couple of times sure, some headbutts ok, but pushing pretty lame. Close good fight none the less, but Khan should really keep Mayweathers name out his mouth because he really doesn't want that embarrassment.

If you shove away a fighter who is an infighter, your creating an advantage for yourself etc. Khan should of boxed him better, but he couldn't. Go back to the gym and work it out
Hunter needs to get better people to work the corner with him (check 24:12- 24:32; he had to wait almost a full 20 sec before he sat down and got water!!) the current guys move too slow; that's UNACCEPTABLE!! Youre supposed to be in the ring immediately with the stool, water, bucket, etc to help you fighter rest. Hopefully, he can get some better motivated people......

The point deductios were legit. I know you people like Amir Khan, but pushing and holding someones head down is not legal and he starts pushing from round 1. Amir Khan should pursue for a 'No Contest Decision' if the governing bodies don't offer this at the first instance, he should have won this fight no doubt the referee is clearly unfair and unjustified in his decision making process and the judges have been interrupted by Mustafa Ameen, the so called "Mystery Man." Absolute joke. Never should have been two points deducted for pushing. Its absolutely unheard of with no formal warning beforehand. even if the scorecards got tampered with khan should've won this fight convincingly and is just looking for an excuse to mend his ego just like david haye did with the whole "broken little toe" bullshit after he got beat by kitschko. most people had the fight a draw so did I regardless of what was going on outside of the ring, as soon as khan got two points deducted i knew it was going in petersons favour. it was such a close fight that any point deduction for either fighter would swing it.

The point deductios were legit. I know you people like Amir Khan, but pushing and holding someones head down is not legal and he starts pushing from round 1. He gets warned many times about it and even when he is deducted the point he continues to push. How many more flush hooks and uppercuts would have Peterson landed if it weren't for the Khan's pushing? I'd like to see the rematch without the fouls and controversy to leave no doubt who the better fighter is.

If anybody here has actually boxed, you would know how hard it is to defend, move, attack when somebody has their head pressed up against your chest as your back is on the ropes. Khan does push yes, but in this circumstance the ref should have pulled them apart. Blatant 'fixing' by the ref for this alone. Let the rematch take place with decent judges and a great ref and lets all watch a super fight. Winner takes all.

Absolute joke. Never should have been two points deducted for pushing. Its absolutely unheard of with no formal warning beforehand. That would have easily left Khan as the winner and by a very clear 6 points on one of the scorecards. Peterson is a great warrior but Khan was the very obvious winner and its a disgrace that it should have been called otherwise in the first place. There are the Khan fanboys that would shout foulplay at every possible opportunity and then there are the Peterson fanboys that will defend him no matter what. Fact of the matter is that Peterson was getting dominated early on but then pulled the fight back, Khan got desperate and the point deductions were the right thing to do but for the wrong reason. As for the guy by the judges, nobody truely knows how much of an influence he had.

even if the scorecards got tampered with khan should've won this fight convincingly and is just looking for an excuse to mend his ego just like david haye did with the whole "broken little toe" bullshit after he got beat by kitschko. most people had the fight a draw so did I regardless of what was going on outside of the ring, as soon as khan got two points deducted i knew it was going in petersons favour. it was such a close fight that any point deduction for either fighter would swing it.

Amir khan was the winner , but he lost because the match was biased. heres why: 1) The referee is black..instinctively you will be biased towards your own race. 2) it was the referee's hometown aswell. 3) the penalty points where rather sudden without much warning.....im suprised these issues were not addressed with before hand, but then again thars america. Score cards should be made digital, recorded instantly and shared with the media straight away. This way once a mark is made (point awarded) there is no going back... no tampering and no messing... Plus isolate judges from the punters watching.

Honestly the only problem I had with the scoring was the fact round 10 was scored for lamont, so I feel the judges were slighly biased, and also the ref didn't give a 'formal' pull Khan over to the side warning
Looking at the HD footage it is clear for almost the whole of round 6 'the guy in the hat' is talking touching and interfering with a judge? The judge easily misses 40-50 seconds of the fight from not watching, surely all judges should be playing close attention...
