its a toy my netbook is well better than this mine is winows 7 home basic 1.66ghz 2gb ram upgraded easy acesses for upgrading it is well cool and intel atom z550

i got an elonex onet i cant turn it on lol it is abit funny but when i plug in the charger it shows that it is charging but when i want to turn it on i cant and by the way when i plug the charger the charging lights red

i brought a 7 inch netbook and it said it had flash player and it doesnt so i downloaded one and it plays but lags so much its pointless and the internet is so slow is ther any thing to make this epc 7inch netbook faster?

You see, the problems with these "sub netbooks", is that their specifications become so low, that you may as well get a windows mobile cell phone and be like "wow, there's one of those chunky laptops' equivalent in the palm of my hand". HTC Diamond is a good alternative to this device, plus it has, GPS, bluetooth, and cellular radio.

This thing is nothing more than one of those "embedded" devices, not really a laptop or netbook.

@Amil679 dont buy one instead buy a proper netbook with windows and intel based processer at the same size with touch screen {either hp,dell,lenovo or maybe even hcl}

those are just like any mini laptop and they may have an optional dvd drive too..

the fact that this crapbook has 128MB of memory is fucking pathetic. Its worse than if they made my Windows 2000 Pentium 3 computer into a netbook -- except at least i will get a fully functional OS, not this piece of outdated, cutdown Linux shit.

That's the point though, it's lightweight. And Linux is far superior to Windows, in every way except compatibility, and that wont really be a problem with a netbook.

You got the wrong idea, I mean they dont give you decent hardware or a usable distro. I use Xubuntu on my ancient PIII computer and its a great distro, what I meant with my comment is the OS that comes with it is shit, why don't they up the specs and build it on a reliable motherboard and bundle it with a decent SUPPORTED linux distro? Like Ubuntu Netbook Remix at the very least (as its quite a new distro)? I know Linux is better than Windows dude. You got the wrong idea of my comment.

i got one it was absolutely shit the o.s died on a first and after my dad driving practically across the hole of england i got a replacement

i took it out of the box the screen looks like its been fucking shot they don't reply to emails and though im only 14 i am taking a law suit against elonex if anyone else has had similar problems p.m me it will be evidence for my case and maybe we can sort elonex out once and for all

There is a new version of the OS available on the Elonex site that adds a Youtube video playing app. It searches Youtube and lists what it finds. Better than nothing I suppose.

Yes. It has a Firefox based browser. You cannot play web videos though.

Onet+ arrived today and the biggest disappointment is that Flash 9 is not installed. The machine is for my son who spends most of his time on CBeebies so I hope a patch is posted before he gets it for Christmas!

Put mine on eBay and picked up a nice eee pc running Win XP with the proceedes! Flash works a treat and my son can look forward to Cbeebies on his own little laptop now!

Not too chuffed with mine. Locks up too easily and WiFi internet access is very poor. When it does eventually connect it drops the connection after 5 minutes. Had to change the channel on my Netgear router before I could get it to dhcp too. Not impressed after the loooong wait for delivery.

Can't view youtube videos with it. Little Linux Laptop site has a patch to allow root terminal access.
