Restrepo Director Tim Heterington and photographer Chris Hondros died on April 20, 2011 after they were hit by mortar fire in the city of Misrata while attempt to cover the story between the Libyan rebels and Gadhafi forces.
seen it today could not pry me from the tv.thanks too all our service men and women for standing in the line of fire just so we could be free from the evil in the world. could not thank them enough
I was a combat photographer in Nam 68-69.On History Channel, I saw, they finally recognised the military combat photographer in one episode...ONE episode. Then these professional photographers get attached to a company and make fame and fortune. Not to ignore they WERE there man!...Just mentioning the U.S. Army does have Photographers in the 1st Signal Brigade, which I was attached to. Just kinda ticks me off they get no recognition but for that one episode in the History Channel episode
@BDyckns sorry to hear you got pushed to the side since you had such an important job. I was a cook with the infantry for a year in Afghanistan and 2 years in Iraq, and I thank God I served with the dudes I did because I never felt like a support soldier. They treated me as an equal and had me right by their side during combat ops and down time. I loved every second of it and take no credit for the bronze star I got during my last tour. If it wasn't for 1-87 Inf. 10th Mnt. I wouldn't be here.
Very excited for this movie/documentary! The combat needs to be shown and these guys cut the bullshit which is good. The interviewer asked some actually good questions too so this was quite interesting. Thanks!

She looks like Katherine Keener. 'War' is a gripping work of reportage.
