Carson gets amazing care. His sister is a friend of mine and being friends with her really opens your eyes to how hard it is for the family. Carson has a beautiful soul and not only is he lucky to have a great support team, his family is blessed to have Carson.
It is horrible that any one would ever have to suffer something as life-altering as Shaken Baby Syndrome. For Carson and the countless other children who have survived the initial injuries..well they're beautiful people! Carson has a beautiful soul and I'm happy to see he is so loved. I know people like Carson really have huge impacts on those around them. I appreciate the nurse saying "He gives us more than we could ever give him"..that means a lot. Thank you for sharing his story.
Yep parents need to step back and see that damage can be done, unlike Carson some of us victims of sbs survive and lead relatively normal lives, but with life long damage. I suffered a heart attack when shaken, have life long heart problems, epilepsy, learning disabilites and weakness on my left side, also have had problems with my eyes. I work but struggle in basic tasks and sometimes when i talk i cannot get the words out that i want to say, please never shake a baby, walk away and calm down.
