@bardhi09 none of those players were legends before Berlusconi except Baresi, since he won a World Cup. Maldini, Tassotti and Costacurta had won nothing in their careers. Berlusconi splashed the cash and bought Gullit, Van Basten, Rijkaard, Ancelotti, Donadoni and Colombo. That is when Milan became synonymous with European giant but they had to spent to get there, as does pretty much ever club.

This is now the reason Barca is where they are. This disallowed goal made sure Barca got to the final and then they won the Champions League after 14 years. UEFA did not want AC Milan to win it because we had won it in 2003, got to the final in 2005 and would have got to the final again in 2006 so UEFA give Barca the advantages with the referee over the favourites- AC Milan. After 2006, they went and won 2009 and 2011 but all because of this semi final.

@ACMILAN7CL I never forgot this disallowed goal its burned in my brain just like the save abbiatti made on preugia in the 1999 final league game to win the scudetto. It was a completely 100% fair goal and milan would have won the champions league that yr if it wasn't for that dumb call by the ref, milan was the best from 2003 - 2006 nobody was in our class...
