That's a limit that you set so that it makes chiming sound to make you notice that you've gone over the speed that you set. In this case I set it to 140 km/hr, but normally it's on 160 km/hr coz that's the speed limit here. But at the moment I have it set to 200 km/hr coz sometimes I don't notice myself going that fast! It's a stable car! Mashallah.
I saw this comment and thought hmm this guy knows what he'`s talking about....and never realised that I wrote it a couple of months ago :-)) (not trying to say that I know what I'm talking about, but funny part in all :-)) )
This was a 2000 also and it was super smooth till 220,000 kms! I sold it after that coz maintenance costs were high, and now i have a 2002 model. I love this car!
hey ugremlin...i am from dubai too!..i live in Seattle, WA now but visit Dubai often...but im just curious...how come your car has such high mileage??...'cos commuting distances in Dubai are so short...slow but short...do u take a lot of road trips?
Hey farazl, well actually i live in AD but work in Dubai, that's why i accumulated so many miles! I always intend on getting a cheap ass car just for the commute, but never got round to doing it, and being used to having 400 hp on tap makes it difficult to drive a weaker car! lol
Dinan is a tuning company i think. So that would be a tuned engine 'n some different body cosmetics. The 140 km/h speed limit is set by the driver. It basically just reminds u that u've gone over that limit. I mainly set it to 160, but I sometimes just turn it off.
ncncncnc your motor is nor warm enough !!

Yeah it's stock, just the exhausts are Hammann. Not from the manifold, just the exhaust pipes.

i just wanna know how the hell your ass is holding the camera while driving the car at that speed and changing gears lol you're bad ass :P

The clutch DOES sound like it's on its last legs....not un-common for E39 M5's, but really nice video in good quality ;)

My 2000 M5 E39 has 175 000 km on the odo and she still runs like a beauty. Get your clutch fixed and shes good as new.

is there a big difference between this and the DINAN M5? Also how come at the bottom it said 140 km/h speed limit? Does it read the signs?

poor clutch - you should learn how to shift (2nd -> 3rd gear)
mpwr1 4 years ago
Yeah I know my clutch was messed up. It slipped big time, I had to change my clutch and fly wheel a short while after that. Cost me an arm and a leg!
