I dont know anything about her work, but this clip, was terrible!! If this is what she normally sounds like, i don't wanna hear anything else from her. Why is she making those ridiculous noises (i.e. 0:13 0:22 0:33 - 0:38 )? And that screaming part at the end is just atrocious! And why is the crowd cheering for that, she didn't do anything special. She missed all the notes, or lack thereof and i couldnt understand one word. I'm sorry, but this performance, isn't making her look good...at all :(

@ytfjordan Well,if you don't know her work,then it's time to check her out.She is one of the best singers today with a genuine Jazz background. She's improvising and there is no right or wrong notes...It's all about spirit.

@shardtx Its my opinion. That message wasnt directed at you or any other fans, it was directed at her performance. If I didnt like it, I just dont like it. Dont take it personally. Since then i learned more about her and I can somewhat appreciate her work more than before, and heck, I even found a performance I kinnda liked. But still, I dont care for her work all too much.

I am a fan of Ledisi, saying she she has amazing talent is a mere understatement of this woman. I went to a concert she did with the legendary Count Basie Orchestra in Japan. But maybe you know better...?

It is actually more like her 6th album if you include the Christmas album and Soulsinger the Revival, but who's counting? LOL #1 Soulsinger, #2 Soulsinger the revival (some of the mixes were different), #3 Feeling Orange but Sometimes Blue (often referred to as the jazz album), #4 Lost and Found (major label debut), #5 It's Christmas and #6 Turn Me Loose. There was also at least one live EP. I have them all and I am so proud to say I have been following her career for 10 years.
