What a standup guy John Butler is. I've never come across any other musician that embraces his fans the way he does. Not only does he teach a few of his own songs, he listens to his fans' renditions of his songs and seems to like us trying to learn his masterpiece.

My respect for him was already to the moon, yet every now and then I'll come across something where my respect points increase.

@TransverseWaves But playing your own song is pretty easy. Ask John to play (random example) Stargaze by Xavier Rudd and he might struggle to begin with, as he hasn't had anywhere near as much experience with it.

I know from experience that my lyrics are so much easier to sing for me than for other people, because I came up with them, working within my own limits and not someone else's.
