ali would have been better of without the nation of islam, he would not have had the 3.5 yrs break from boxing.. not the 2 embarrassing last bouts.. well he was too naive.. but he was in decline soon it seems to me.. other boxers are still fine with 35 y
Dr. Fredie Pacheco is one of the few honorable members of the Ali entourage, who really cared about the champ! I wish Ali had more like him in his corner, not the nation of Islam thugs who did not once stop and wonder if he was getting hurt in his later years. Fridie did not just leave boxing as this video suggested. He actually quit in protest of what he later called: "the brutal exploitation of one the greatest figures in Sport's history".
@maestromike66 Thanks for your kind thoughtful words on Dr.Pacheco. He loved Muhamaad & cared more about his welfare than any of Ali's other ppl, even Angelo Dundee.He was right when he said everyone involved with his fight with Holmes should be locked up.

I guess Pacheco was a stand up guy. He still struck me as an idiot with his comments in 'Thrilla in Manilla' though.
