  • does the gun have a bolt release?

  • ThePeopleneedhelp, duh theres no recoil stupid, its a .22, its a small round, theres not gonna be any recoil with a round that small

  • no recoil :O

  • @ThePeopleneedhelp Well yeah, it's only shooting .22 longs.

  • When you take the empty mag out after firing, does the bolt stay open?

  • @seedsjln370 yep

  • @seedsjln370 yes...until you close it

  • @seedsjln370 yea it does

  • He should be Kenny Rogers.

  • The scope is probably real. The whole point of these guns is to practice shooting drills for cheap that directly translate to your service rifle. I just take the scope and VFG off my AR and put them on my 22 for training days.

  • I just bought this gun :D

  • 500 new with case at sporting goods!!!!! Great gun....

  • if u dont use high velocity rounds it jams alot

  • looks like now recoil at all lol

  • I was thinking of either getting this or the ruger 10/22 and put an archangel stock on it. Can someone tell me a little info about either of them? Thanks

  • @lasershow215 depends on what you want to do with it, just plink around on the cheap 10/22 for sure. Want to train cheaply for the .223/5.56 AR MP15-22 for sure, check out my page I have a video of me running the 15-22 with a 30 dollar scope on it out to about 200 yards.

  • much fun for cheap. I bought the A1 style comp version for $350 new at a gun show

  • @fwbrc51

Very good price! Enjoy your rifle.

  • Better a coward with a gun than the dumb ass on the wrong end of it.

  • @MrChefmatto too easy to kill? id rather have near instant death than to have some murderer have an advantage over me.

  • @MrChefmatto are you kidding me guns are a great passtime and hobby they are not weapons but tools you play too many video games... moron

  • from seeing this, there is hardly any at all recoil, I may be interested in this up here in Canada, problem is I don't want it to run me down more then $500 with tax

  • @kingofsin666 basic model starts at $499. i think upgraded MOE ? (spelling) model is top end $799. heard of some people buying on sale for just over $400 taxes in. because of short barrel tho this gun restricted. a good gun i heard (non-restricted too) is the CZ 858 tactical 2. think those kits go around $650 with mags/bayonet etc.

  • whats the name of the sight on the rifle, i recently bought the m&p 15 22 and i cant seem to find any scopes that arent more expensive than the rifle itself. hah

  • @lazzaro587 Most likely one of the Trijicon ACOG sights with a Docter on top.

  • @Tairoku doubt it, i don't think anybody would spend 1,000 dollars on a scope for a 400 dollar gun. Its probably just a knock off, i have a high quality knock off i got for 145 and it is nice.

  • @MRcalibrecincuenta Might just be an optic from another gun.

  • @Tairoku you'd have to re-zero it for both guns so i don't think so.

  • This is the gun used in Alphen aan de Rijn in The Netherlands that killed 7 people in a shopping mall.

  • @m1che1

You mean that we should blame the gun instead of the shooter?

    Guns don't kill. People do!

  • @stephano1990

I know people kill people, just giving some information.

What else are you gonna do with guns huh?

  • @m1che1

Many people have been murdered by this gun and all those murders could have been done with other weapons as well so it's not relevant that he used this particular type.

And most people (myself included) use a gun to shoot targets at the shooting range and see it just as a hobby.

  • @stephano1990

Yeah I guess that could be fun to a certain degree, but not as fun as killing people is I bet.

  • @m1che1

Wat probeer je in godsnaam over te brengen met deze zinloze discussie? Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

  • @m1che1 Yeah and this very gun could have prevented it were you there?

or are you just listening to the news blaming it on the gun just like every typicall human that does that cant figure out that it was the PERSON not the gun could have been the persons bare hands could have been a knife he was going to do it anyway what are you going to do now blame it on a screw driver

  • haha u really need hearing protection for that?

  • @wakjob94 its a lot louder when your there in person. But if you think your that cool go right ahead and shoot firearms without ear protection. im guessing you think eye protection is pointless too. Next time keep stupid ignorant comments to yourself, because you look like the biggest tool when you write shit like that.

  • Someone please tell me how much an AR in .22 platform is. i want the rifle it self not a conversion kit. I wanna use one for coyote hunting in WV. The .22 may seam small compared to the typical .223 but it will make a coyote fold up at 200 yrds.

  • @StrapAssassin1 I bought this one for about $425 from my local dealer. But firearms isn't his #1 business, so he sells a little on the cheaper side. MSRP on the website is about $500 - $800.

  • hello, excuse me where I can buy a Smith and Wesson M & P 15-22? , I can export? thanks

  • ?why would anyone whos in their right mind have a need for a $500 scope on a plinker such as that.that scope cost more than the rifle.??mabey to shoot a coin at 30 yards?you should just focus on finding the cheapest rimfire ammo and sell me that scope for $200.more money than brains, unless u took it off a real 223 to use on that tin can popper.

  • ?why would anyone whos in their right mind have a need for a $500 scope on a plinker such as that.the scope cost more than the rifle.??mabey to shoot a coin at 30 yards?you should just focus on finding the cheapest rimfire ammo and sell me that scope for $200.

  • $1300 optic on a $400 rifle... I'll take it!

  • @robs104 Yeah that was the first thing I noticed too. I have to say though, I shot the rifle yesterday, and it's a fun little thing. Really mediocre trigger unfortunately.

  • @aluisious I bet they're a total blast. I don't see why nobody but high end custom manufacturers see fit to give us triggers that don't feel like snapping a wet twig.

  • @robs104 800$ rifle...

  • @johnnyfus1 No, it is around $420. look it up, M&P 15-22.

  • @johnnyfus1 Definately not worth $800, the entire rifle is mostly polymer plastic with the barest minimum of steel where they need it. That's good or bad, depending on your point of view. Good, in that it makes it very light and fun to flick around and cheaper to manufacturer; bad, in that by the time it gets to your grandkids it will be breaking apart, and if a truck tire ran over it, it'd be lego pieces. Not a gun you'd want to defend Stalingrad with IMHO

  • What happens if u press and hold the trigger? Or is it one shot at a time?

  • @iKnifeU123 it's semi-auto so if you hold down the trigger nothing will happen, just one shot at a time. i'm sure u can make it full auto, but if you don't have the license to do that it's a felony

  • @giguchan Yeah I figured out that you cannot actually convert it. I suppose I will just keep saving and pay the big bucks all at once. Thanks for the reply

  • I looked at one of these today at a pawn shop and I am searching right now to see if I can change the upper to a .223. Incase I cant find it do you know if i can make that sonversion?

  • i own one of these and they are B3@$T

  • @thejosborne35 anyone who says "B3@$T" shouldn't own a gun

  • @giguchan If youre on a tight budget try primaryarms. He also carries higher end stuff.

  • @giguchan on one Ar I have an Aimpoint ML2, the second a Aimpoint H1, and the last an EoTech XPS

  • @giguchan Its an ACOG compact ( not sure of the model ) with a doctor red dot mounted on top of it. Youre probably looking at around $1500 +/-.

  • funny how a guy shoting a real gun has no military uniform or armor but when u seay others shoting a fucking airsot gun they are all coverd up like if there at war or shoting a real gun

  • @spartansamuri its a .22 of course it sound like a air rifle

  • @TheRage27738 what are you talking about i had nothing to say about the round it shoots

  • @spartansamuri That's because when you see people playing airsoft they are simulating combat type stuff.

  • @jakerules1234PSN i guss but no point i go to turnements i dont like doing that kinda point less but i rather go to shooting range or huting its more fun

  • I entered to win one of these at a local gun store during their anniversary sale and got the call back yesterday that I won! I was beyond stoked. Can't wait to get my hands on it for free!

  • hello how much is your scrope?

  • I love this rifle, it's perfect for training. I trained at a local facility teaching qcb for AR's and sidearms, they require 500 rounds. When I saw that requirement I immediately grabbed my 15-22 over my PlumCrazy/YHM AR-15. I did not have any FTF/FTE at all; I used CCI Stingers UV rounds.

  • wow that was awesome....the most awesome vid here on noobtube.

  • he smiles like my cat

  • i might get this rifle just because its cheap and sexy lookin

  • I just bought one last week and one week later its at Smith and Wesson for repair due to failure to eject jamming and inadvertent discharge switching from safe to fire after clearing a jam.. Not to impressed!

  • @bkr1972 does it have a threaded barrel or non-threaded barrel? one of the versions is much older and suffers this problem.

  • @bkr1972 You can tell a lot about a company by their ability to admit to, and fix, their mistakes. The first run of these had an ejector that was not aligned properly and the angle was off by just enough to cause issues. While it can be fixed by bending the ejector about an eighth of an inch or so in one direction, Smith and Wesson recommends giving them a call instead.

They send you a prepaid package so you can get it fixed free and fast.

  • This weapon has the recoil of a airsoft gun... It is still nice : )

  • @Rammsteinchile95 Believe it or not when it comes to weapons recoil is an adverse effect...not something to be sought after

  • @scuds03

Yeah, you are right, but if you think about it... Low recoil means small calibre, and a higher calibre, means a bigger recoil too. This weapon is not designed for war, because it cannot penetrate a bulletproof vest at a short distance.

  • @Rammsteinchile95 Oh but it is used for war...Alot of militaries use .22 varients for training purposes. Also subsonic .22 loads used with suppressed long rifles have been used for assassinations because it is far quieter than its bigger brothers.

  • @scuds03

Thats right, but only for training purposes, due to its low bullet speed & caliber.

It still can be useful for sniping purposes, hitting a target in the eye, throat, or a unprotected head.

  • @Rammsteinchile95 I managed to take down an unsuspecting tree the last time I fired mine...my wife and I put a couple dozen clips into a series of targets nailed to a tree and when we came back the next day the tree was on the ground. Thank God it was my own land.

  • I got this for cheap ammo and good practice....brand new $400

  • Is this a joke? Optics on a .22? LMAO A Ruger 22 with an Archangel kit is the much much better choice! Hell S&w customer service is terrible! Their AR15's are terrible so the .22 has to be an epic failure!

  • @TTBlackOPS i fired 32 rounds out of my 15-22 and it broke im waiting to see how good thier customer service is

  • can 5.56 pierce a bear ???

  • looks and sounds like a great gun.....

  • @Silatman2 It is.

  • whats up with the real ACOG? costs twice as much as the gun itself dude

  • but he has the money and he is being sponsered and he can just take another ACOG he has and mount it on the rail using the numbering system on the rails

  • @ClanHalo001

a lot of m&p15-22 owners already have a real AR, which they borrow all the accessories and optics from, great way to keep up your form and familiarity with your weapon, and save more on ammo than the cost of the whole gun. At least that's why my buddy got one... me? I'm just poor, so I sprung for one off the get-go.

  • stupid

  • if anyone asks how often to clean there gun after shooting. Stare at them and respond, "Do you wipe your ass after taking a shit"!

  • @mohamed1104 that makes sensed, lol now i won't ask

  • @mohamed1104 That's why I love my piece of junk SKS you never have to clean it LOL just dump oil on the slide.

  • Dont know who is bitching that the ejectors are failing ... but I already pissed 1500 rounds through mine without a single glitch and that's Bulk ammo as well as CCI Mini Mags .. maybe if you learned to clean your gun once your done shooting you wouldn't have issues... They dont clean themselves and anyone with an IQ over 2 and shoots realizes Bulk Ammo is dirty as hell and needs to be cleaned after every shooting

  • Um, ACOG on a .22 rifle??? Really?

  • Im gonna guess that since the guy works for S&W they probably paid for it...

I am a little jealous tho, id do just about anything for one of them...

    Here that Trijicon...A N Y T H I N G ;)

  • @Supacrazy82 lol true they will run ya 1500$

  • @PTpaintballJoe If ur shooting out to 50-100 yards with a tac driver why not use optics? Stick to paintball cuz ur clueless about the reak deal haha

  • if you buy this rifle be prepared to send it back to s&w to services it. it has several problem that have been well documented all over utube and other forums. so if u dont mined the incovience buy one.

  • @sos123321 I bought it and have about 1500 rounds through it and it fine...If you do happen to have a problem they fix it free and even throw in some free mags. I think S&W is doing just fine...I love my 15-22.

  • @scuds03 im glad to hear your rifle is doing fine i just order one last week and hope i get a good one like yours . what type of ammo are u using? im planing to buy the cci standard velocity . i hope the work aswell as the high velocity.

  • @sos123321 So far just cheap wally world federal and winchester value stuff. Plan on making a vid showing it shooting a variety of ammo and see how it does unbiased. Just shoving in different types, shooting, and seeing what happens.

  • @scuds03 i have seen what it will do if you fire unreccomended ammo it will blow the extracter lol mine is in the shop now

  • Comment removed

  • @scuds03 Just don't put any of the remington gold crap in there...If there's one thing they don't know how to do it's make a .22 round that won't jam, misfire or just sit there thinking of ways to foul up your gun.

  • @serophis Believe it or not my 15-22 serial DTZ**** has gone through a full 550 box of Remington Golden Bullet just fine as far as not jamming. The accuracy of that ammo is pure crap though so I wont be buying more. So far most accurate ammo I've tried is standard velocity CCI ammo. For most accurate cheap bulk ammo I tried the Federal 525 pack and Winchester 333 stuff. The Win 333 was more accurate than the Fed by about 1MOA @100 yards and about the same price per bullet.

  • u cant shoot a 22 in a garage u idiot

  • @ClanHalo001 Why can't you, Mr. Halo?

  • I shot my ruger .22 in my garage dumb fuck before it broke.

  • he said it was a "cluster fuck" im sure they are stacked soooo thick a 5.56 wouldnt penetrate through the mass,,,,

@ TheUSMCE4 all jokes aside you shouldnt be shooting a gun in your garage which i assume is in a residential area.

  • what ammo brand r you useing.. i just bout 1.. the winchester 22lr 40grains worked great.. i switched 2 s&w and they sucked.. keept havein fte problems..

  • i use Federal 550 bulk pack, Winchester SuperX, and cci minimags all with good luck.

  • Has anyone seen a good price for this gun at shows or places?

  • i paid $410 before taxes at a gun show.

  • its louder on the vid then irl. I have one there very quite to be honest lol...

  • Quiet enough to shoot in your garage quiet or kinda quiet?

  • @TheUSMCE4 I have one and it is not quiet at all..compared to a real 223 it is but with .22LR High vilocity rounds its enough to scare the neighbors

  • its like any other 22, i dont even use earplugs, but i wouldent shoot it in your garage. Mabey in the moutains or forest, but make sure other people wont freek from a gun. Its also good for pest control :)

  • That's what I need it for cause I got a cluster fuck of rats in my Garage and I want to take those bitches down.

  • @TheUSMCE4 Sounds like you might want a decent air rifle, rather than a .22..

  • @TheUSMCE4 haha a cluster fuck of rats

Id say an ari rifle too like Tramsootru said

  • 32hibo send it back to S&W, they will replace the extractor for FREE then you won't have to keep posting all over youtube how crappy this rifle is unless of course you just like to complain. They will probably throw in a mag or two just for your troubles. This rifle is far from "JUNK!!!" and S&W has outstanding customer service.

  • good post, and 32hibo, has been over on the smith-wesson forums too, talking trash on the 15-22.

  • the gun is junk the extractor is just one of the many problems that owners have reported. and when you pay $450 for a .22 rifle you should not have send it back multiple times to get it work right. so go fuck yourself SeventyGTX!!!!

  • @SeventyGTX

they usually send you a couple free mags, and the turn-around is about 10 days. There IS an extractor problem on some guns, but mine and my friend's shoot flawlessly.

  • @roddycluff i fired 32 rounds out of mine and blew the extracter

  • @jcgraves73 I did have a scare with a failed case the other day, the rim blew right off the back of the thing and made a mess in the chamber, but hooray for me, the ejector survived the explosion.

  • What type of scope you got on? Non-magnifying or what.

  • If that is a real ACOG it is about $1300 on a $500 rifle. It is a 3x magnification. It is a really nice addition to most rifles.

  • It will kill all the rabbits in the forest

  • I got this Gun at Academy for 449, had it for 4 days, and they wouldnt give me a refund or exchange for another, they sent it back to S&W for me, It kept jamming,FTF, etc on me, Several over on the smith-wesson forums, are having the same problems, including the feed ramp acctually breaking. Smith has had my gun for 11-12 days now, says i should get it back in about 10 days now. Hope to get it soon, and hopefully it works great this time, cause i was really disappointed.

  • Got it back from S&W, they replaced the magazine and extractor, and now it works great, couldnt be happier.

  • Comment removed

  • i think i may have to do the same thing. the last time i went to the range mine ftf quite a bit..was disappointing. did you just email s&w or what?

  • i actually took my gun back to where i got it, which was Academy sports and outdoors, and they sent it off to me. You can either take it back to where you got it, or call s&w and they'll mail you some shipping labels. Mines still doing great since i got it back few months ago.

  • yea i called them they were pretty cool. havent got mine back yet but they pay shipping cost.

  • I seen it at acadamy for 449.99. Its alot better gun than the colt 22lr.

  • I was looking at the colt m4 ops 22lr, I like this because its better priced, better built and the mag isnt 4 feet long lol. some things i would change. Better more realistic m4 barrel with bird cage, More realistic ejection port with dust cover. thats it lol. I can say the take down is alot closer to the real m4 vs the colt 22.

  • if i were anyone trying to get one of these i would

a good price for these are 499 i have heard inside from s&w that in the next month they are going to raise prices because of the availability and demand

  • I picked mine up Friday for $369 plus tax.

  • mag318 Where did you get it for $369?

  • Where did you get it for that price.

  • I bought it with an LEO discount from Gil Hebards Guns, Knoxville, Illinois. He had 3 rifles which were all spoken for. Regular price will be slightly more.

  • I used to think I'd feel like the worst kind of treacherous heathen if I closeted my 795 for a different .22 semi, but now I just don't know.

  • Bought this at Cabela's last Saturday. Can't wait to take it out for a test run.

  • i have my eyes on this gun - saw it at cabelas and saving for it now - cant wait!!!

  • i cant wait to get this gun and deck it out with sweet accessories... i've been in need of a pimped out squirrel slayer. ... heh too bad i won't be able to afford that awesome trijicon acog he has on it.

  • when is this rifle coming to the UK!?!? i want one!!!

  • That sure does spit those .22lr casings out a ways!

Can't wait to get my hands on one!

Saw one today for $480, holding out for a better price though.

  • thats pretty good seeing as the suggested retail price for this sweet rifle is $490,

but it's still good to look around for a better price :)

  • Well Just contacted my local MCSports and when their distributor gets them in stock they will hold one for me for only $419.99!!!

Now hopefully it wont be more than a month.

  • sweet wish i had your luck

  • Great vid. Is this configuration legal in Ca?

  • NO....a CA compliant version would be out in October 2009. With 3 possition stock and10rnd mag.

  • Yep, because those extra three positions make a rifle danger to society....ughh
