  • Any English speaking bass player should be able to follow this review without understanding all the words. It's pretty obvious.

  • is it good for slap?

  • @nikklazz: If I put a Title in english i'd review in english, If I put a title in spanish i'd review in spanish, thats why sometimes people complain abut the language

  • @wizardis96 The title is the name of the bass, translating a name...? :p

  • It is just me or those classic vibe P-basses sound much better then J-basses? What do you think,I'm considering buying one,and I kinda like J more but I won't buy them if they sound like shit.

  • @terminator4100 i personally like the p bass sound a little better, i play a lot of punk / california style rock music, and it sounds great on p basses, but overall the jazz bass is a warmer sound, which i like more than the p bass sound. and the jazz bass sound is more versatile, it's like the telecasterof basses... hope this helped

  • @DidYourMomOSaurus I know that, but I'm talking about these particular basses-CLASSIC VIBE,so to me it seems that P basses from this series are kinda made better then J jugding by the videos, but I may be wrong.Gonna have to chech them out in the store.

  • Yay Fender !!! :-)

  • Did you know that the thumb rest is for put ing your finger and play for the thumb

  • I don't speak German but I understood him ...

  • It sounds pretty good, but it's a shame about the sticky-ass neck.

  • Squier products are the same quality as a lot of companies' regular lines.

  • @brainstormer9 Sorry I don't speak German but I was able to decypher your message by comparing words to english. Believe it or not, the upper range of Squier basses (vintage modified and vintage vibe series) are all very well made considering they're made by mostly machine in mass production. Necks are very comfortable, tone is superb for a low priced instrument. Quality-wise they stand up to or better than many upper range Mexican models and lower range American models. Worth the price!

  • @syndrome666 Ok thanks or in german: Danke!

  • @brainstormer9 the build quality on these is quite good, the classic vibe series are very solid. the necks are comfortable, the bridge is massive and the electronics are good to. the only thing different from the MIM fenders is the pickups, but this one sounds great. and you can even get a duncan ou dimarzio one for less than 50 bucks.

  • Suena muy bien, talvez lo compre.

  • "das walking bass character"

  • im buying one of these and swapping out the neck for a fender p bass neck and getting d'marzio pickups its gonna be sick

  • @edgar669966 which Dimarzio Pups you putting in?

I was thinking of getting hold of one of these necks and putting it on a P body and putting Dimarzios in!

  • And Fender expects us to believe that this is a Squier? Oh well, it costs less, lol

  • DAMN! HEAR THAT CHUNK!

  • They actually sound pretty good, but they don't feel very comfortable to me. It's something about the neck that I don't like.

  • whats that tiny black rectangle near the edge of the pickguard it appears on loads of p-basses???

  • @jjc259 its a thumb rest

  • @lamogand awesome thanks i've been wonderin for ages

  • I just fucking love the THUMP of this bass!!

  • great voice, but this man speaks like a cat

  • gorgeous bass. lovely colour. anyone know if this bass would be good for grungey stuff such as nirvana/pearl jam etc ?

  • Ja?

  • Ya, Ya. No wonder i couldnt understand. At first i thought he had a strong scottish accent. Nice bass.

  • Lake Placid Blue baby.... Aw Yeah!

  • no matter what language he speaks, I think he should have 'translated' this bass' tone into my 'language' with playing by a pick.

Before you guys start banging me - yeah, I respect fingerpicking bass, but the review is not full as for me.

  • @qba5775 yeah i agree. i would have liked to have seen some pick playing.

  • RAMMSTEIN >:D

  • sounds good

  • how much?

  • damn you german one i can barely understand him lol

  • i think squier is an overall better entry-level brand than epiphone...

  • @V19torrent Well, you are comparing apples to oranges, but I see what you mean.

The classic vibes probably give 80-90% to what a USA fender can give, while the epis, even the standards, and the better models, don't give much of what the Gibson gives you.

And that has probably to do more with the fact that Fender instruments are supposed to be affordable makes, by design (bolt on neck), plastic pickguards with preinstalled pickups, non-nitro finish, no binding etc.

  • @V19torrent peavey is better than the 2 ! with his peavey zodiac

  • @V19torrent In their standard/vm and cv lines; absolutely

  • @V19torrent its better thn gibson man! gibson just sucks a whole lotta dick.

  • @V19torrent you are a idiot if you think squier is better than Epiphone lmao

  • @V19torrent

And it works very well even when you have played for years!

  • @V19torrent for Bass Players Fender and Sqier is always Better than Gibson and Epiphone

  • would this be good for rock music liek say, Rush or Ledzeppelin or even iron maiden?

  • imo, definitely.

  • @woodoven yeah i bought it and its great:)

  • As did I! My good buddy got me a great deal, 275 flat, down from 350. I love it. real handsome instrument and plays great. The value is quite amazing.

  • @mrtheroosterdude

    first thats german,

and should we speak english just cause you re speaking english?????

  • You idiot. He's german from a german company....why would he speak english?`Just to make YOU happy? I you don't know german then learn it or watch something else

  • I am going to use this bass for electronic new wave experimental you name it

  • sorry one question!

for wich music style this bass is good for?

    thanks!

  • rock, punk, blues, funk. Just about anything. Looks wise probably wouldnt work for metal but I dont see why it wouldnt work tone wise.

  • ok thanks!

  • is it good for slap?

  • You COULD slap it,weather or not it's going to sound very good is another question. I'd recommend a jazz bass or standard precision for slap.

  • xFUNK ROCk punk rock metaL JAZZ FUSION JAZZ CLSSIC ROCK HIP HOP

  • einmal ordentlich aufdrehen, staub weg ;)
