Quite funny watching a WinMo convert (like myself) learning a capacitive screen. Always trying to tap with the fingernail instead of the meat of the fingertip.

I want this phone, but don't know if I can give up the hardware kb of my G1/Dream....

Not as yet. The UI is quite nippy but this is not a full production unit - this is a demo unit as seen on the HTC launch event.
