I suppose...I just find the original is much more heartfelt. It's painfully clear that Sara Quin is the writer, not Jack White. His interpretation, while being full of character, feels to severe for the delicate song. It overrides the fragile emotion of the song and creates discord, that would be awesome if it amounted to something. It fails to be haunting though, and ends up just being a little empty.
