  • What is this! They get 'on cam' @ 6 - you need to grab it by the gonads and give it 7,200 in every gear mate. Mine used to LOVE it

    O trust me i understand, I have a 147Bhp 1.6 VTR/Rallye engine in my 106 which redlines at 8400Rpm and i love to love it.

  • I had two of these, still the nicest sounding engine of this size that i've heard! Like testacorsa150 said it sounds exactly same as mine, which was standard with just a K&N panel filter. Most fun car i've ever owned too, although im picking an S2 16v up on friday so that may change

  • It sounds exactly like my old rallye. It was a standard 1,3 with a k&n panel filter in the original airbox. It goes like mine did too :)

    Je bent in de war met een 205 Rallye

    Die heeft IDD een 1.3 met dubele 40MM Webers DCOM en 103 Pk @ 6800 RPM

    ( deze auto,s zijn zeer zeldzaam aan het worden in NL )

    Dan heb je ook nog De AX Sport met een 1.3 En Dubele Solex carburateurs ( dacht 90 Pk )

    En dan heb je nog de 106 Rallye fase 2 1.6 Met injectie ook 103 Pk @ 6200 RPM Aleen heeft deze een stuk meer koppel ( 132 Vs 108 bij de fase 1 ) en bruikbaarder vermogen

  • yeah its not a bad little car, ive had a few saxo VTS's , basically the same, but hey you cant really thake jezza seriously? I mean, hes not a quick driver, he just likes to get the back out which doesnt make him a race driver, just a bit of a hooligan acting his shoe size and not his age! I would like to see what "slowlol" drives, I bet its a Skoda Labia or Kia gay pride !

  • I aint watched the rest of this dudes videos to comment on how he drives. The VTS's were 1.6 16valves though and the 1.3 rallye engines were only 8 valves. I personally find that 16 valve engines usually get the power out near the higher end of the rev band, but with 8 valve engines, revving the balls of them usually resulted in going slower as the power peaks at a lower rpm.

    As for slowlol, i don't know why he wouldn't drive a Honda. Honda's are great IMO. Japanese proven reliability

  • 16valve engines only need revving more as they are generally cammed a bit wilder than an 8v, for example a saxo 1.6 VTR is 8v and produces 100bhp at i guess 6000rpm , the 1.6 VTS 16v produces 120Bhp at around 6750rpm, if you wanted to get 120bhp out of the 8v then you would put in a fast road cam that would develop the 120 bhp up @ 7000rpm, its not really the amount of valves that determine where the power is, it is the valve timing. I was comparing the vts to the pug 106 Gti by the way! Cheers!

    Well the 1.3 Rallye engine has 100Bhp At 7200 RPM ... so U need to rev it high to go fast :D Redline @ 7500

  • I have one to =D.. what is the maximum speed of your xsi? mine is 210kmh.. one day we have to do a race cause your xsi is almost like mine (0-100) and trad some ideas!

  • Shift up just before the rev limiterŽ(7400) to have a better acceleration. And keep it over the maximum torque(5400)

  • You can do a lot faster than that.

    Try to rev him to 7200
