Well, that was a nice surprise. I met Peter at an IJA convention in Amherst, MA in 1979 (I think it was). Was blown away, especially when he started rolling the ball around on his head. When I asked him how I could practice something like that, he gave me a pretty sarcastic answer, which I won't repeat here. I was likely bothering him during needed practice time. In any event, I've thought of Peter over the years, wondering how his career had developed. Great to find this - thanks for sharing.
The audience do NOT understand how difficult this is. They hardly clap at all. Only the tricks they can understand. Or maybe it's just a small audience. Oh well. Very nice.
This footage looks quite old. Davison performed the EXACT same act in 1996 on Harry Anderson: The Tricks of His Trade tv special. It was slowed down a bit, and a little smoother with MUCH better music.
Do you think you might find and post that one? I found this one while looking for it.
