Whoever let him shoot the gun that way (basically one handed!) is a complete IDIOT. You never let some one shoot holding a gun like that and CERTAINLY not with an extremely light weight gun in a high powered caliber. I have a S&W 340PD .357 Magnum scandium frame (11 oz.) and I'd never let someone shoot the gun that way. They would lose control or hit themselves in the face for sure. With a 44Mag the danger is even worse. That's just plain irresponsible and probably done for a laugh.
what an idiot. especially holding the revolver like that. on a high pressure round gun like this or bigger (460 or 500 smith and wesson especially). Their is a very small gap between the cylinder and the barrel. Out of this gap comes pressurizes heated gas that is powerful enough to clean cut the ends of your fingers or whatever comes in its way. The guy filming this or the owner of the gun should of known better and gave him a proper less on shooting a gun like this. bad example being set
I find the best shooting position for large caliber handguns to be this:
Hold your firing arm straight out (make sure your elbow is straight) and use your other hand/arm as support by pulling back on your firing arm from the knuckles, while still keeping your firing arm's elbow straight. Both hands should be covering the firearms grip completely (don't teacup your firing hand with the support hand, you should be pulling back on the knuckles of the firing hand, with the support hand).
Its one thing to let it hit you in the face, but please no one else hold a gun like that. I have seen the results to ones hands holding up around the cylinder. Its like dynamite going off in your hands. Look at slow motion shots and you will see why.
maybe next time hold it like a handgun and not a shotgun so you dont blow your fingers into fish bait and then we all have to have extra laws passed to make sure that doesnt happen because that is the last thing we need.
that was pretty funny .camera mans a dick to see some fool holding a handgun like that and not say hey dumbass dont do that.as fun as it is to watch you wouldnt let your gf or daughter do it .i guess he was followin direction u said now watch it so he took a closer look
This topic always confused me, if a person to sooooooo weak they have to buy ultra light guns how on earth are you gonna handle the recoil? bigger the ammo ...heavyer the gun. best keep the ultra lights out of the magnum area! How long before some brainiac comes out with a 24 oz .500 S@W
@aluisious Yeah, it's obvious this guy has little experience. I've never seen anyone hold a handgun like that, let alone a revolver. The blast from the sides of that cylinder is nasty.
@aluisious If he held a .460 or a .500 sw magnum with his fingers that close to the front of the cylinder he might have to pick his fingers off the ground.
Haha ... Slight of Idiot Pro. Who would buy an ultra light .44 magnum ... ? It has 2x the recoil of a 357 with half the track record. It's more expensive to shoot, has too much penetration, and takes longer to get back on target. To each their own but damn ...
@ModernWarflare uh, people who want a great bear killing gun jack ass. people who backpack for miles and miles up and down ten thousand foot mountain passes do jack ass. try living in bear country for a while dip shit. not black , or teddy bear country, grizzly country.
@pitshit84 really bro.... cause smashing yourself in the jaw with your firearm will impress a grizzly so much it will just leave you alone, huh? interesting theory... but i think i will stick to my colt python. and btw how many people do you really think believe for one second that this rolly polly looking sack of shit spends a substantial amount of time hiking over mountain passes? and who are you calling jack asses... check out your worthless fat friend pistol wipping himself... jack ass
@sunuvliberty damn buddy, gettin worked up are ya? okay , well ill calm ya down, first. this was his first time shooting ( pistol whipping action) . second who the fuck said he hikes dip shit? I own this pistol, i purchased it because of the reasons i stated in my other comment. Dont get all emotional here on you tube kid, you dont even know me , lol.
@pitshit84 i'm a grown man bro... it's cute how you want to humiliate people that don't share your taste in firearms then talk about getting emotional when someone calls you on it. don't be sad when people leave comments based on your video... you put it there. feel however you want about me, you are the one who thinks its funny to watch your boy there damn near blow his fingers off... maybe he should have pistol whipped your sorry ass.
HAHAHAHA!!! dude im 16 and i can handle a high power handload better than you can handle a standard round! the trick is to keep your arms straight and direct the recoil instead of being thrown around or in your case get a face full of blued steel.
@01MEGABOB these were Montana buffalo bore rnds bud. have a bit more kick than the regs. its my griz bear spray. This man never fired a mag round prior to this vid. He never was struck in the face neither.
@pitshit84 i admit a miscalculation at my part but still his arms were not rigid and that is key when shooting a high powered handgun. especially if youve never fired it before.
Almost as painful to watch! The first thing I noticed was his supporting hand. Always keep your fingers away from that gap between the cylinder and forcing cone! The gases coming out of there can be like a cutting torch, and take off your finger. Especially on large calibers! There are true stories of people getting hurt this way, most noteably by the guy doing this with a .500 S&W. He was trying to support the weight of the gun and scope, and turned his thumb into hamburger in the process!
@wannarubitt yeah I saw Mythbusters do an episode on this exact subject. It is amazing what those escaping gases will do to a hand if its in the way.
im not going off on him but next time he should fully extend and lock his elbows... one hand on the gun, the other under the clip well grip in this case.
@pitshit84 He's lucky he didn't damage the fingers of his supporting hand from the flame/blast out of the cylinder gap. There is a damn good reason you hold revolvers differently than autos. Keep the fingers of your supporting hand back from the cylinder gap, or you can end up with a painful injury and possibly a loss of the tip of a finger. The owner of this gun was irresponsible in not instructing the shooter on shooting a revolver. Seriously. Dude got very, very lucky.
uuuuhh, is it just me or are u not supposed to hold a revolver with a hand in front of the cylinder? always thought that was a good way to loose a fingertip
This guy deserves a spot on my video..."Best of women shooting guns."....NEVER PUT YOUR HAND OR FINGERS AROUND THE CYLINDER!! Who in the hell told you to hold a gun like that? Next thing you know, you will be rapping, holding it sideways, and shooting with one hand.
I'd be more worried about damage to his hand and fingers caused by gas escaping from the barrel/cylinder gap. If you look at pictures of guys who are silhouette shooting with revolvers, you'll notice that when they lay back in Creedmore position and brace the gun by their leg that they have a heavy leather blast shield there to protect against injury. That was not a safe way to hold that revolver. Bruises to your face heal, but he could have been seriously injured the way he was holding it.
I'm surprised he didn't burn the heck out of his left hand.... seriously, who ever handed him that revolver FAILED at being a good friend/shooting instructor :(
Thats exactly what i did the 1st time i shot a long barrelled 44 handgun, only difference to me and this guy was i stuck the hammer in my forehead, but i was only 12 yrs old at the time lol
that is probably one of the mos irresponsiable things ive ever watched. revolver 101 DO NOT PUT YOUR HAND IN FRONT OF THE CYLINDER! good way to lose fingers moron!!!!
@SRT4W Freeze frame at 0:24, and I can see how his off-hand did nothing to restrain the pistol! What a shame. His friend shouldn't have let him do that in the first place, but I'd say that if this guy didn't learn his lesson after that then he should simply not shoot pistols ever again. >: (
@pitshit84 I don't need to know him. His grip alone (hand near barrel/cylinder gap) shows he doesn't know what he's doing. That kind of blatant stupidity ....I'm at a loss for words.
@12799MaDeuce but still you were hoping he loss his finger. Im glad you are not a officer of the law. or a judge, holy shit, a guy like you with a badge would be a nightmare. lol.
all I gotta say is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahaha! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
What a douchebag. This guy is used to having both hands on something and pulling it into his face. he probably does this to the penises of stallions. He takes their 28 inch long cock slowly out of its sheath and works it till it is hard and veiny. He puts his hands on it and feels the blood coarsing through the horse's member. Then brings it into his mouth and feels the muscular dick throb again and again pumping warm sticky horse semen down his throat.
I have a feeling this happened because he has a smaller pistol, weight, than he should have. I shot my first gun, a dirty hairy .44 magnum when I was 16 and the recoil was much easier to handle than I thought. And I have a feeling it's because we didn't fuck with it's weight and made it lighter.
obviously the best grip to use while shooting pistols would be your rifle grip... dumbass. straighten both arms lean, forward, grip firmly with both hands overlapping on the handle. don't use your left hand as a benchrest.
man your lucky you didnt kill yourself......what kind of idiot hold a firearm like that espically a high powered revolver..??? try shooting the S&W 500 like that and loose some fingers!!!! i think its best you never touch another gun..again...until you get some proper training
@1384orion you are so right. But the douche who posted this vid refuses to acknowledge he is a novice and a danger to himself and friends... give up now before you get sucked down to his level of stupidity
@pitshit84 Hey man... not trying to troll at all... but there are videos on here with a revolver getting "double tapped" by the revolver coming up and back like that... one girl came very close to shooting herself in the face!
fuckin tool, you still are an idiot for letting him shoot like that. And for one so defensive... you must have learned since this vid that you are a novice who should take some classes before attempting to play with the boys.....
and the answer is no fucktard... with one in the chamber .... go learn how to shoot though!!! your fucking making us look bad!
@pitshit84 Better yet, watch the video again and tell me what responsible gun owner would put a .44 in the hands of someone so inexperienced. Mr Limpwrist was lucky that he did not allow the muzzle to come up. Either way, he did not have control of the gun. Please tell me how this is a good idea. I would love to hear your "reasoning".
@EyeinTeaJay well jack ass, i'll do it again and again to any noob shooting. just to put it on the tube and read what you fuck heads have to say. its pretty entertaining. and so you know, he learned how to shoot a mag pistol after that shot. hows that sound dip shit? i filmed a great you tube vid didnt I?
@pitshit84 You'll do it again and again? Well thats what we need in the shooting world, more assholes like yourself who lack common sense, foresight, and the ability to teach new shooters. I was a kid when I shot my first .44 mag, still have the same gun, and never hit myself in the face with it. Thats the difference between having someone with common sense teach a new comer, or an idiot like yourself. As long as you were able to make a youtube video showing what an ass you are, I guess it's ok
@pitshit84 You're not that mysterious or hard to figure out. Most already know what I said about you. Some day, maybe, you'll grow up and pull your head out of your ass, until then enjoy being a dick.
@EyeinTeaJay Jesus ,, my comments are only this ignorant on youtube... but still there was only one in the cylinder, i told him to be careful, and he is a grown ass man that learned a bit from this. .. . He now owns multiple handguns, and is now a regular shooter, and hunter. , and my gun never had any blowback from the gap in the cylinder... but next time i guarantee i will watch his left hand's placement. ... while i am filming for you...
@pitshit84 The gun would recoil backwards towards your head then it woulds pull the trigger killing you. It happens when you lose control of the recoil. Look up videos about it. it happen often.
@pitshit84 double tap with uncontrolled recoil. Listening again sounds like you say only one in there. I always do that when letting newbies fire my 44 mag. I have seen guys really jack there hands up with revolver gasses...
@pitshit84 because the recoil could have made him hold it to his face if it had to bullets and his finger slipped which easily could have happened he would have blown his brains out
@pitshit84 thats good thinkin and i have no thoughts on why you only put 1 in the cylinder seeing as i didnt know and dont say i showed it in the video because i couldnt see still pretty cool vid
@womsterr I'm with you man, could have taken a finger off for sure. If the weight of the revolver came up and tripped the trigger again on his finger there is a chance he could have shot himself in the face.... yikes!!!
He bitchwristed it with a single-hand grip and -actually- had his other hand choked up past the cylinder gap. This is on par with the danger ofctually putting his frikken hand on the top of the barrel behind the sight. Trying to hold the front of the gun down is about as effective as jerking off with tongs.
...not to mention shooting over water...

@pitshit84 I don't need to know him. His grip alone (hand near barrel/cylinder gap) shows he doesn't know what he's doing. That kind of blatant stupidity ....I'm at a loss for words.
12799MaDeuce 3 weeks ago
@12799MaDeuce but still you were hoping he loss his finger. Im glad you are not a officer of the law. or a judge, holy shit, a guy like you with a badge would be a nightmare. lol.

Fire23eater 3 weeks ago
@Fire23eater sounds like you just had one hell of a visual , damn guy were you drooling?
pitshit84 3 weeks ago
I have a feeling this happened because he has a smaller pistol, weight, than he should have. I shot my first gun, a dirty hairy .44 magnum when I was 16 and the recoil was much easier to handle than I thought. And I have a feeling it's because we didn't fuck with it's weight and made it lighter.
kikook222 3 weeks ago
obviously the best grip to use while shooting pistols would be your rifle grip... dumbass. straighten both arms lean, forward, grip firmly with both hands overlapping on the handle. don't use your left hand as a benchrest.
garnetblackattack419 3 weeks ago
man your lucky you didnt kill yourself......what kind of idiot hold a firearm like that espically a high powered revolver..??? try shooting the S&W 500 like that and loose some fingers!!!! i think its best you never touch another gun..again...until you get some proper training
1384orion 3 weeks ago
@1384orion wait, wait , wait, how could he have killed himself?
pitshit84 3 weeks ago
@1384orion you are so right. But the douche who posted this vid refuses to acknowledge he is a novice and a danger to himself and friends... give up now before you get sucked down to his level of stupidity

@Quinnstafer this is why I normally don't comment on youtube... cause of pathetic little ass kissers like you...
no I didn't hear that....
do you not think he could have blown his finger off? you clearly know nothing of firearms
ChromeArty 3 weeks ago
Guys it isn't the shooter's fault, they told him it was chambered in .17 HMR
idevourlemons52 3 weeks ago
omg dude....you could have killed yourself or lost a finger. Who is watching you hold a revolver like that and not stopping you?
womsterr 3 weeks ago 25
@womsterr how could he have killed himself? other than holding it to his head.
pitshit84 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 Hey man... not trying to troll at all... but there are videos on here with a revolver getting "double tapped" by the revolver coming up and back like that... one girl came very close to shooting herself in the face!
ChromeArty 3 weeks ago
@ChromeArty one in the chamber bud, just one in the chamber. how?
pitshit84 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 wow, you needed to say that twice?
fuckin tool, you still are an idiot for letting him shoot like that. And for one so defensive... you must have learned since this vid that you are a novice who should take some classes before attempting to play with the boys.....
and the answer is no fucktard... with one in the chamber .... go learn how to shoot though!!! your fucking making us look bad!
ChromeArty 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 When recoild brings the gun back there have been incidents where people have shot themselves. Every gun owner knows this.......right?
EyeinTeaJay 3 weeks ago
@EyeinTeaJay watch the video again and listen. then tell me how he could have killed himself.
pitshit84 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 Better yet, watch the video again and tell me what responsible gun owner would put a .44 in the hands of someone so inexperienced. Mr Limpwrist was lucky that he did not allow the muzzle to come up. Either way, he did not have control of the gun. Please tell me how this is a good idea. I would love to hear your "reasoning".
EyeinTeaJay 3 weeks ago
@EyeinTeaJay well jack ass, i'll do it again and again to any noob shooting. just to put it on the tube and read what you fuck heads have to say. its pretty entertaining. and so you know, he learned how to shoot a mag pistol after that shot. hows that sound dip shit? i filmed a great you tube vid didnt I?
pitshit84 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 You'll do it again and again? Well thats what we need in the shooting world, more assholes like yourself who lack common sense, foresight, and the ability to teach new shooters. I was a kid when I shot my first .44 mag, still have the same gun, and never hit myself in the face with it. Thats the difference between having someone with common sense teach a new comer, or an idiot like yourself. As long as you were able to make a youtube video showing what an ass you are, I guess it's ok
EyeinTeaJay 3 weeks ago
@EyeinTeaJay thank you , finally someone who understands.
pitshit84 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 ha, ha , keep em coming , keep em coming.
pitshit84 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 You're not that mysterious or hard to figure out. Most already know what I said about you. Some day, maybe, you'll grow up and pull your head out of your ass, until then enjoy being a dick.
EyeinTeaJay 3 weeks ago
@EyeinTeaJay Jesus ,, my comments are only this ignorant on youtube... but still there was only one in the cylinder, i told him to be careful, and he is a grown ass man that learned a bit from this. .. . He now owns multiple handguns, and is now a regular shooter, and hunter. , and my gun never had any blowback from the gap in the cylinder... but next time i guarantee i will watch his left hand's placement. ... while i am filming for you...
pitshit84 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 weather i say something about his hand is a dif story though.
pitshit84 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 I recently bought a S&W 500 and the salesman said that the ultra light .44 has a worse kick than it.
Rokuema 2 weeks ago
@Rokuema i can believe that too. my buddies 454 kicks less
pitshit84 2 weeks ago
@pitshit84 The gun would recoil backwards towards your head then it woulds pull the trigger killing you. It happens when you lose control of the recoil. Look up videos about it. it happen often.
kikook222 3 weeks ago
@kikook222 yea kinda hard when only one in the cylinder though huh. listen at the beginning of video .
pitshit84 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 double tap with uncontrolled recoil. Listening again sounds like you say only one in there. I always do that when letting newbies fire my 44 mag. I have seen guys really jack there hands up with revolver gasses...
womsterr 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 because the recoil could have made him hold it to his face if it had to bullets and his finger slipped which easily could have happened he would have blown his brains out
scab268 3 weeks ago
@scab268 yep that can happen easily. why do you think i only put one in the cylinder.
pitshit84 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 thats good thinkin and i have no thoughts on why you only put 1 in the cylinder seeing as i didnt know and dont say i showed it in the video because i couldnt see still pretty cool vid
scab268 3 weeks ago
@pitshit84 nvm im a complete idiot i rewatched the vid and he said theres only 1 in there plz dont comment telling me im an idiot thx(;
scab268 3 weeks ago
@womsterr I'm with you man, could have taken a finger off for sure. If the weight of the revolver came up and tripped the trigger again on his finger there is a chance he could have shot himself in the face.... yikes!!!
ChromeArty 3 weeks ago
@ChromeArty again , just one in the chamber. just one in the chamber, Still think it could have happened?

bligrigs 1 month ago
Funny video. I've got a .44 mag myself, and it never gets anywhere near my face when i shoot it. lmao I'm not sure how this guy managed that.
Ben762x51 1 month ago
@Ben762x51
IcabodCrane 4 weeks ago
@IcabodCrane LMAO Alright, I can see that. Funny comment. *thumbs up* I might steal your "jerking off with tongs" comment. haha
Ben762x51 3 weeks ago
why's he got a semi auto grip on a revolver?
Monkeyfurshur 1 month ago
@Monkeyfurshur "semi auto grip" makes absolutely no sense... many handguns are semi auto and none should be held the way that guy was doing.
