i've been following the cure since 1987 or before. i've seen them and met them more than a few times. i think the band was looking their best right after the prayer tour during the wish tour. robert looked good, simon was cool as hell and porl still seemed somewhat normal. i remember thinking in 1992 that they were so old and that they were almost at the end of thier careers. little did i know that 18 years later i'd still be following them like an obssesed teenager at 40 years old.

I just loved Robert in this clip!! He is just so gorgeous and adorable!! He is so wonderful in so many ways! And I love his shy, shoe gazing ways indeed!! The Cure is a phenomenal band with such musical talent and poetic genius indeed!! The Cure are a band all their own, no one can touch the Cure!! Their music is very magical and mesmerizing indeed. It's fine to see that Robert Smith cared about all the indie "shoegazing" bands that were up back then and realised how good they were - and got eventually influenced by them after being (one of) their influences ! Oh he quote Ride and Lush, perfect ! We'll see again Smith and former members of the early 90's bands in the forthcoming movie "Beautiful Noise" directed by Eric Green this year (hopefully).
